B Model Parts

I fixed up the floors in mine and had diamond plate lids made up. I have one original lid left, as I lost one on the highway so had new ones made.

I think they could easily be replicated by a fab shop(or at home) if you have some basic pieces to work with....if you want originally looking ones.

hi,

I guess that I will make some. I have seen some that are crome plated and apear to be original mack stuff, but the diamond plate looks good too.

Thanks

Hi Fred,

I'm going to make mine too. I do plan to mount them inside the frame and use the space on the outside of the frame for toolboxes. (and maybe a beer cooler for the long hot truck shows)

See you in a couple of weeks.

Ya, I like the chrome stock pieces.......but didn't want to ask how much!!

The hard part about diamond plate is keeping it looking new. After a few years in the sun mine is starting to show it's age. Even with polishing it just doesn't clean up as nice as new.
