F Model Cab Jack Repair

Recommended Posts

Anyone have any experience rebuilding or repairing a cab jack? The unit that I have will release the latches, but won't raise the cab-sounds like its bypassing internally. Is there a rebuild kit or parts listing for these that is available? Thanks-Mike

Is it just me or did those buffalo wings taste like chicken?

make sure the cylinders ant by/passing inside first. Then start to check the jack.

I'd also look at the bleed-down screw that you turn to let the cab back down; I found a chunk of crud keeping it from sealing on a hoist ram recently, effectively bypassing to where it wouldn't pick up weight, but would raise the arm empty. I took the screw out, used compressed air to blow the crap out of the valve seat, and smoothed the facing on the screw that touches the seat when the valve's closed a little with fine grit emery cloth. Works awesome now! :thumb:
