  1. Noticed on the Mack website the world's strongest men pulling a Titan. Funny thing was the front end looked like a Granite. Is this an optional grill or have they changed the Titan grill. looks better as a Granite grill. :SMOKIE-LFT:

I believe its an option, as over the summer I've seen both versions on trucks rolling out of the factory.

  2. I note no air deflectors on some UPS tractors in the background... Are they awaiting deflector installation, or has UPS figured out that air deflectors are a waste when half their miles are bobtailing to the intermodal yard?

They are waiting for the deflectors to be installed. The fairings aren't installed at the plant, they are installed at the MOD center, unless it will make the truck too tall for shipping, in which case they are just strapped to the frame behind the cab. (Correct me if I'm wrong 3P).

  3. I see Bolus from time to time in CT. Will keep an eye out for the light blue one. Should look pretty sharp with the red frame.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Here's the odd ball, I like this shade of blue much better as a stand alone color, but I think the dark blue fits in nicer with the other colors.

Wow! It seems the foreign countries are getting some cool stuff. Will that truck get the Mack emblem in the front?

  4. Good to see Bolus is back to Mack. They purchased shakers for a while. Heard they had problems with the visions. I guess the shakers didn't

work out. Good news for Mack.

Same here. I heard they had turbo and rear-end problems with he shakers, plus they didn't necessarily get the greatest service on them. There are 10 Pinnacles on the order, plus one in a much brighter blue, with a chrome bumper. Not sure what the story is with that one though.

Hmm, that black one looks familiar. :thumb:

I like the orange one with the sleeper better though.

  6. What are the times for the factory tours over the Macungie show weekend? Just show up?

I believe the factory tour is just Saturday like in the past. You probably won't be able to drive over yourself this year either. Just hop on the bus at the show and they'll take you over. I believe they usually start around 10am.

  7. Let me put it this way. I'd rather have a Mack of course, but I'd take it before I'd take a Kenworth or Peterbilt.

Or, if it were between an '85 R-Model, or a '12 VHD, I'd take the VHD. Ooops...did I say that out loud... :pat:

Overall, its not a bad looking truck IMO. I like the axle forward, like the one pictured, much better than the axle back.

  8. I agree with mackcl96, I think it needs beefier front tires! Still cool none the less.

Figured I'd add these here, a collection of Titan's I've managed to photograph.

(The first truck in the third row became the dump truck in the second row.)
