What exactly is the difference between the RD688 and RD690, like, what does the "88" or "90" stand for?

I sure hope Mack hangs on, like some of you guys said, Volvo is sure putting there 2 cents into things. When I was at the assembly plant this past summer, I asked one of the guides what he thought of the new CTPs and he replied: "they're friggin Volvos, thats what they are."

Not a big fan of that one.

I wish my dealer would get in some CTP713's already. They got a CXP613 in back in September followed by another identiacal CXP613 and two CTP713B's.

I think RD/RB was discontinued mainly due to the success of the CV. The Granite was introduced around late 2001 and was an "instant success" I guess you can say, and remember that the RD did live on for 3 more years after the introduction of the CV and ended in 2004 with the Legend package (which was the original topic of this post) before finally being replaced by the CV once and for all in the 2005 model year.
So how about those RD Legends? What have you guys seen of them?

Now the Granite truly lives up to its name.

I was told by an employee at the Mack Assembly plant this past August that UPS does not allow a truck's name to appear anywhere on the truck. As one of you mentioned, for a while they didn't even allow the bulldog on the hood. They do now thankfully. I have also noticed that the Volvo's lack the name "Volvo" in the square in the center of the grille, the Internationals do not say "International" under the window and I belive they lack the diamond on the hood, finally the Sterlings do have the "S" on the hood, but lack the name on the door.

Hi, I'm Dave and I am a big Mack fan. Although I do not own any real Mack trucks, I do have several 1/34th scale models, mainly Granites.

That tow truck is pretty awesome, its the first Legend I've seen with spoke rims. All the other ones I've seen had aluminum wheels.
