  1. I think that in order for Mack to survive they need to remain price competetive as I belive some of you had said. I see very few large trucking companies who buy Mack trucks, I imagine its becasue Freightliners are cheaper. There are two companies around me who buy almost all Macks and they are Kane and Bolus; however, I noticed that Bolus does have a few Columbias. They did buy several new Visions this year though, some of which are still at the dealer. I hope they continue to support Mack and don't give way to Freightliners.

  2. I agree with you on one thing, Mack's new literature is nothing but glossy pictures; however, I belive that is due to the fact that all components of the Granite CTP are not available yet. For example, the MP8 engine won't be availabe untill some time early next year; therefore, there can't be an accurate list of options. I'm sure its nothing a Mack salesman couldn't straighten out.

  3. I'm glad to hear some of you like them, I would spec an Allison when I buy a truck-mainly because I haven't learned how to drive a manual yet. Unfortunatly they're not popular in my area only beacause you have to go far away to have them worked on and they're an $18,000 option. My dealer did just get on in last week, its for a fire truck I'm told, it is a 2007 Mack CTP713B.
