Want to put a winch on my B61 tractor, 5 speed trans, 273 turbo engine; what is the best way to go; hydraulic or chain-drive? How can I hook it up to my trans?

It's too bad you're in CA, we have a couple of shops in Ohio that still rebuild those pumps.
Thanks. Yes, it is too bad I live in Taxifornia. I'd get out if I could. It's not the country I grew up in.

OK; suggestions as to who can rebuild the fuel pump.

My 676 Thermodune surges at around 12-1400 rpms, about 45 mph. Changed fuel filters, new diesel but problem persists. If I add Seafoam how much should I use?

This truck is original red, cab and chassis, never repainted. Brown interior, looks original, not UPS truck.

Yes, that's the truck.

I'm going to get the build sheet from Mack, maybe that will clear up the question.

yes, it appears to be the regular green under the paint on the doors. Behind the dash, seats and under the hood the paint is brown so appears this was a factory option. Even the steering wheel is brown, only one I've ever seen.

Thanks fellas, I got it. I want to put an hydraulic winch on the truck (B61); how would I find and hook up the pump. Trans is a TRL 107, five speed.

My Thermodyne engine has a five speed transmission; how do I tell which transmission I have.

Just curious; Is the CB radio dead, does anybody still use the CB? I guess drivers are now using their cell phones to communicate but I do miss all the chatter.
-
Thanks Harry, how do I contact you?

Anyone have pattern for the B model headliner? $800 for a piece of cardboard is a little steep for my pocket. I'll try and make one for that kind of dough.

Thanks Double, appreciate the input.

The Bs were weight rated by their numerical ID I E B 61 was rated for 60.000 pounds (the 6) and it would be a diesel (odd numbers were diesel the 1 )
so a B42 would have been rated for 40,000 pounds and had a gas engine
Well, I learned something today, thanks Mark.

Got it. Did the B61' come in different weight ratings for single axle? I guess the tag would increase the stock carry weight.
-
10/4, thanks for the input.

10/4 Brock. Would there be any advantage to duals or should they just stay with the singles? Looks like the truck has a dead tag axle; why is that?
-
Would dual rear tires be better? How would you change them to duals?

Looking for good running B model Mack, B61 or B75 in northwest or west coast.

Would the power take off fit the Mack 5 speed/ Hydraulic or chain?
