  1. WHY?...........................Mark
  2. Prolly I good thing I wasn't at Macungie that year,or that would have come home with me! I have been wanting to build a replica of this truck almost since I first saw it years ago..............I made an offer on the blue one last year, but it was not enough in the sellers eyes..............................Mark
  3. Nice! Yuengling is "my" beer,it's good stuff for sure,i was SO glad it recently became available here in Virginia,or I may have had to re-do Smokey And The Bandit 2015!........................................................Mark
  4. I almost forgot, these "Mack Nazis" are always bitching about no pictures or it didn't happen,so..............................here she is!
  5. Yardo,I happen to have a completely re-built 238,low hours, low miles, which uses no oil whatsoever, which as long as it's going in the FWD, you may have for cost of shipping. Please feel free to contact me with any Detroit related questions, comments or fan-mail..................................your friend "Doctor Detroit"................Mark
  6. "Real" pinstriping is a dying art for sure, which is a shame, in my opinion, there are (were) some talented people in this world! I have loved this truck since I first saw it 30 plus years ago at the Overdrive big rig drags at Englishtown,NJ. If ever I hit the "Go-Zillion" dollar lottery,i would build an exact replica (sans the Clat-erpillar) of this truck!...........................................Mark
  7. No Jim,not MIA this time LOL!,just been on the road, had a MUCH longer trip then expected to the "Great White North"....................................................Mark
  8. Al,you're my new hero! this is my dream truck! I've been looking for good pictures of this truck forever! This truck is the reason I joined BMT. I've been on the road and haven't had a chance to check in till today,it was like Christmas in March! Thanks for posting these my friend!.........................................Mark
  9. Joe,i seen that 359,i thought it was a misprint or typo! that's a lotta dough for that truck,is IS pretty nice, but not that nice!......................................Mark
  10. I have found school paste is "best straight out the bottle" much like chessewhiz? "Mucilage? I believe was my favorite brand/flavor.................................Mark
  11. Was always pretty lucky in the travel department when young, seems both my brother and I were born with a "gasoline ass" we spent countless trips in the car with no combat! I was always content to spot trucks,my brother motorcycles I still like to ride!............................................Mark
  12. Still a hold-out,Mrs Vision says I should have one (Facebook) but I pretty much consider BMT my Facebook, besides,I still need to figure out how to use my new phone!..................................Mark
  13. I remember the 361,and WWII surplus Brockways, pretty sure there was an article in "American Trucker" magazine about Johnsons Towing back in the 80's?........................................................Mark
  14. When I ran Binghamton,i used to run with a few of these guys most every night,a good group of guys,i enjoyed talking with them! I took this picture at the Penn-Can truckstop in Harford,PA....................................................Mark
  15. Joe,did'nt Johnsons yard used to be right beside 81? Carbondale maybe? there is a shopping center there now? I used to run South Jersey to Binghamton every night,i remember they had a BIG Oshkosh or maybe FWD wrecker if I remember right it was white do you know the one I mean?..............................Mark
  16. Jim, we must have similar paths! back in my moving van days,i was delivering a job into an Old/Historic neighborhood in Cape May,NJ customers house was near the end of a cul-de-sac (sp?) anyway,i navigated just fine going in,got turned around at the end just fine (single axle GMC Astro,48ft. moving van) got the job all done and headed out later that day,not taking into consideration the "crown" in the road. Well as I was leaving on the same street I came in on,i noticed a "booiiinnngg" type sound every few seconds, never thought much of it at the time. Long story short,i had taken out every single cable tv wire on the street (most were still hanging on the frame between tractor/trailer) there were more then a few pissed off blue-hairs wating for me at the end of the street,no Judge Judy today! one of the few times trucking I was in fear of my life!....................................Mark
  17. I like the blue and white R-Model too! 20 speed? with a 4 speed Brownie? I'm thinking maybe a 3 speed Spicer behind that! I bet that B-Model was one hell of truck!.....................................Mark
  18. Came across a sharp B-Model for Rollo Transport, Keyport.NJ.......................................Mark
  19. Since I posted some new random Macks, here are a few I have been saving up!..............................................Mark
  20. Nice find Mike! I think that bus is worth checking into! not many like that anywhere!.....................................................Mark
  21. Having never seen one,and knowing nothing about these particular trucks,i was curious were these manual trans. or automatics? thanks for looking into these Ken,some very interesting trucks!.............................................Mark
  22. It sucks! my Dad was just shy of 64,he was home over the weekend, got up in the middle of the night for a snack, when he came back to bed,he told my Mom he didn't feel good. My Mom rushed him to the hospital, she said he took a deep breath on the way,and that was it.Doctors said his heart just exploded. I was in Florida on a load,my then boss flew me home, but was too late, I still remember there was a peanut butter and jelly sammich and a glass of milk still on the table when we got home.............life is short,do the best you can with the time you have! There isn't a day goes by that I don't wish I could sit down over coffee and shoot the shit with him!.................................Mark
  23. LMFAO! sounds like what my Dad always said, "You want a "fancy" breakfast? Diners right up the road" !! Here to today,it's Shit On a Shingle!...............................................Mark
  24. I was gonna say some smart shit about frozen straps, you guys need to pull a van! BUT I got to my first stop of the day this morning, after running in rain, snow, sleet, snow, sleet, hail, snow etc. (you get the picture) Got to my stop, trailer doors frozen solid closed! took me about an hour with torch and rubber mallet to get the S.O.B's open!.....................................Mark
  25. Looks about like my week! sorry to hear about your buddy, just glad to hear if he had to go,did'nt take anybody with him, still hate to hear about things like this though. That place on 220 where the CL-9000 is also has an old McLean Brigadier, and an ex Overnite "china closet" daycab F-Model stashed behind all those junk trailers, used to be able to see them before they moved a trailer across the driveway. ...................................Mark
