  1. I have a 1959 B75 and have also had problems trying to find mirror brackets that match what was on the truck. The top of my brakets curve along the top of the doorframe, more than the stainless steel brackets that I was just looking at the ATHS show in West Springfield. Those brackets only had a very slight curve like the ones in your pictures. I picked up a set of brackets off a B75 with an L cab and they even have a more severe curve to fit the L cab door. I was finally able to save enough pieces with the two sets to make one decent set, which I am going to send out for powder coating. I initially wanted to put stainless brackets on my truck, but have decided to go with black powder coating. Good luck.
  2. As onfo, my truck has Budd hubs. Thanks.
  3. Need to replace the front drums on my B753. I called the part store and they asked for a number. I told them there is "no" number on these 53 year old drums. Does anyone know the current drum size number that it would take on this 1959 B model?
  4. You need to figure out whether you have an "L" cab or "B" cab. I know where there is a hood for an L cab, if he still has it. Might have a lead on a B hood as well. The hoods are different.
  5. Ok, you embarassed me now posting my pic, but I will let it slide! Glad I could help you out. It was fun picking the old girl up and hauling her down the road.
  6. Look for a good set of used classic SW gauges. I bought a complete set of gauges including the air pressure gauge for about $80. Chrome and faces are good on all of them.
  7. I have removed the oil cooler bolts (2). This pump is stuck real good to the housing. I have hit it hard with a deadblow hammer and nothing. If I hit it any harder I will end up breaking the water pump. I am soaking the flange with penetrating oil now, maybe that will loosen the flange from the housing.
  8. I am trying to remove the water pump on my B753. I have removed the 8 5/16" bolts on the face, but it will not come off the housing. What am I missing? I have hit it with a hammer but it still refuses to come apart. It can't be just the gasket holding it on.
  9. Tony, my B753 came with a dual pivoting fifth wheel. I understand that they were used when hauling tankers. My truck was used for house moving, so maybe they helped in that regard as well. Keep looking, there should be some out there.
