Hi Grant and welcome.
There are quite a few other Aussie's here, so feel at home, and also a wealth of information.
We also like to see what each other has, so make use of your album and post a few piccy's.
Regards,
Rod.

Thanks for your help guys. I was able to get one locally.
Thanks. Rod.

IIRC, the customer ended up taking a picture of the data plate and had a sign shop make new ones for him.
To be honest, that is what I have right now. A photo of the plate, fixed up there until I get "the real thing".

Hi Guys.
I'm after the interior overhead shift pattern tag for a TRQ-7210.
If anyone has a spare laying around, would you let me know.
Thanks. Rod.

Hmm, an air starter?
Yes. One of the greatest sounds on this earth (and real good for scaring the crap out of bystanders )
-
Remember, if you have an air starter, it will take a lot longer to reach full air pressure as your air-start tank is being filled as well.

Again the Mighty Mack B61 was in attendance.
The 2008 NRMA Motorfest is held in the Central Business District (CBD) of Sydney.
There is a vast array of motor vehicles on display. NRMA Motorfest, held each year on Australia Day, celebrates Australia's love of the automobile with up to 1,000 veteran, vintage and classic cars, commercial & military vehicles and motor cycles on exhibition along the city streets.
The proud owners of the vehicles are always happy to answer the many questions from the admiring public who come from across Sydney and NSW for a cheerful chat with owners and a closer look at the cars.
NRMA Motorfest attracts more people (with more than half a million people expected to attend), than any other outdoor display of vehicles in the southern hemisphere and is a significant part of Australia Day celebrations held in Sydney CBD.
A great (Australia) day was had by all.

We own the surviving Peterbilt and tanker from Duel and have the replica of the RS700L used in Convoy. If you're ever in St. Louis, stop in and say hello.

Hi Dan. Last night I again watched Duel. Great movie. I noticed that the truck has about 6 registration plates on the front bumper. Is this normal in the States?

If Rob or Grease Monkey are still here, can they post photo's and details, please.
I'm a little tired of getting heat soaked and I've tried a lot of insulation.
So I may opt for air conditioning. I've noted that I do not need a heater.

The reason why it will build pressure if the vents are pluged is that the pump draws more fuel than the engin can use, just so you can understand what im saying, lets say for every gallon of fuel the pump draws from the tank the engin only uses one quart and all the rest is returned to the tank.
Correct, MACKS. Jay have you physically traced the return line from the injector pump? You stated that it returns to the drivers side tank. I would not mind betting that it has been rerouted to the passengers side tank. That is why all the excess fuel is ending up there. You normally have to draw from the tank where the return goes to first. I learnt the hard way, as I dumped quite a few litres overboard.
Why they pressurize.....hhhmmm.

Hi Adrian. When restoring my B61, I purchased bailey channel from Spectrum Rubber http://www.spectrumrubber.com.au/history.htm
They were extremely helpful.

Just attended a recent motorfest and on my display board is a L A R G E picture of my avatar.
Boy, did that upset the young highway hero's.

I'm a little bewildered
On my 673P motor the valve cover breather fed into the air intake for the engine.
Now on my 673T "C" motor, the breather just feeds overboard.
Is there a reason for this?
I would have thought it would have been beneficial to burn those gases.
Can I change it so that it goes into the air intake?
Thoughts appreciated.
Thanks. Rod.

Yes. I am paranoid.
I'm still VERY concerned re the proper oil level.
My dipstick is old, worn, bent and the oil level drops to the mark indicated on the dipstick, then the oil pressure fluctuates.
Surely a BIG sign that oil should be added. Which I do immediately.
What I would really appreciate, is the measurement from say, where the dipstick enters the sump to the full oil level.
I say where it enters the sump, as I need a reference point and most dipsticks are all different lengths. And my dipstick tube has actually slipped down inside the securing fastener. Again giving me an incorrect reading.
Or from bottom of the sump with a piece of wire!!!
Total oil in system is not relevant as my big oil filter is mounted back on the chassis behind the fuel tank and the amount of oil in those big long hoses.....
Thanks. Rod.

I remember, which I believe was on the old boards, a section on Transmissions Data. It listed just about every trans ever put in a Mack, shift patterns, gear ratios, etc. I searched a little on here, but couldn't find anything.
Do we still have that available?
Any info would be appreciated.
Was this what you were after?;

Hi Barry,
Just a suggestion.
As I believe quite a few members have their own web site, would it be possible to add "My Website" to the members description (ie on the left hand side of forum pages). You already have links to "My Blog" and "My Gallery".
I actually have a website and find it really hard to access via this site.
Just a thought.
Regards,
Rod.
