  1. You could do that, or as soon as you click "paste" you can turn around in a circle repeatedly while rubbing your belly with one hand and patting yourself on the head with your other hand- always worked for me.

Tom : Sounds like a plan . BUT If i did that i might be sent to the loony bin in Bolivar,TN ...:loldude:

Then again i would give family, friends & neighbors a good laugh before they put me in the little white coat that i can hug myself in ...:loldude:

I found out by using chrome the quotes work but do not work when using Internet Explor . ;)

    :mack1:

  2. Macks : I was just asking a similar Question about copying & pasting a link & I was told Chrome works good when posting pics & links to BMT .

I was trying to post a link on BMT Earlier through Internet Exploer & I was having problems too .

Next time I post a link or pic to BMT Im gonna try Posting while using Chrome .

  3. Nice looking dog there . Yep im seeing 2 oil filters instead of 3 oil filters which would also be a sign of a 237 & Cones on the Axles im also thinking a Early 38' or @ least a minimum of 44k Mack Rears if not early 38's .

as FWD Said send the info to the Mack museum & after receiving that box of info send a donation to the museum . ;)

The Mack museum will tell the factory specs for sure .

  4. Sure Right about tracks being deadly had a few close calls myself . amazed I still have all my digits weather they work or not ...lol (those who know my situation get that joke ..lol)

we used to do our own undercarriage work ( only thing we didn't mess w/ was putting new pads on rails we let undercarriage shop in Memphis do that for us)

I Never minded dealing w/ pulling old undercarriage off & putting new on as we had most everything to do it with including a railroad hammer & 20 lb sledge hammer to help knock master pins in & out with.

I always liked the alligator clip style rails over the master pins . get the rails lined up , put the pad on & bolt it down .

But I always would rather take a country ass whoopin than put a slipped track back on . I Used to invent cuss words while putting a slipped track back on ...lol

GG: We had a manual thumb on our track hoe as we done a lot of clearing work.

never had a hyd thumb but those manual thumb was handy esp when doing undercarriage work . ;)

  5. Randy : Sounds like a good young Man that will go far in life .

I was raised by my Grandparents after My dad died of his Injuries from a diesel tank explosion & my mother gave me to my grandparents on my dads side to raise in 1977 .

    I was 2 yrs old .

My grandfather & dad farmed & done excavating also. . Heated the house w/ 2 wood stoves .

    since I was a kid I was helping w/ wood & as I got older I was splitting wood w/ a maul also & stacking wood .

Was on riding on equipment @ 2 yrs old & riding in trucks before that (so I am told) & Pop & his crew had me learning how to operate equipment by age 3 or so .

I thank God For my Grandparents raising me cause if it wasn't for them Lord only knows where I would had woundup @ .

I In turn helped taking care of my pop (granddad) from age 18 till I was 29 yrs old when he passed @ age 77 .

As I felt like I owed it to him for what he done for me.

Thank you for your familys service .

& KUDOS To you Sir Folks who raise their Grandkids / Niece or Nephew have my upmost Respect .

  6. My pop subcontracted for a man that was a General Contractor who had 3 sons & 3 daughters .

All of them were Damn good truck drivers, operators & Mechanics .

all of them had & still have a lot of respect esp the daughters . The 3 daughters were all natural redheads & anywhere from 5'4" to 5'7" tall & anywhere from 110 lbs to 130lbs . Small petite frames

I remember when the oldest daughter was pregnant w/ her oldest son back in the late 90's . She drove the Lowboy & Also pulled a Dump trailer w/ the lowboy tractor as well until the dr put her on bed rest about 2 weeks till her oldest son came into the world . Meanwhile her dad, brothers & sisters & husband were trying to get her to work in the office she wouldn't have no part of it . She wanted to be on the Job . & she was till her 9th month .

I seen her Drive the wheels off that 86' RD Mack lowboy tractor . & made that ole E6 350 &12SPD Sound good doing it .

I seen her get out of the truck unload 1 piece of equipment , load another come back , unhook from lowboy trailer , hook on to the dump trailer , back the truck up to the track hoe & load her own truck & get back in the truck & haul dirt to from the pit to the job site . all when she was pregnant .

She defiantly has my respect & is a hell of a good friend to me & has been for years .

My morale to this story ECD : DONT LET SOME ONE TRACK MINDED Backwoods Redneck that thinks this still the 1950's bring you down hun .

He is probably scared he will get showed up by a woman . ;)

Those 3 ladies along w/ my oldest sister also has shown me for years A Woman can do anything a man can do if not better . ;)

Cause i'll admit im good @ the operating farm, construction ,logging equipment & driving trucks but my sister has shown me up a time or 2 on the job back in the day & i'll admit it . But our grandfather, great uncle & my grandfathers operators & drivers along w/ some others pop sub contracted for taught us & My oldest sis & those other ladies were just (in their words ) more of the boys on the job . ;) My sister will tell you shes a Tomboy & proud of it .. ;)

but I get a kick when a man tells her she cant do something then my oldest sister will show his ass up & when she does & runs circles around him & im around I lmao & say I told you so dumb a$$... :loldude:

& BTW I love pecan pie myself but I limit myself to the holidays now . I could used to eat a whole pecan pie by myself . ;)

    :mack1:

    :mack1:

  8. :loldude: I Never lmao so hard in my life . im red in the face , coughing , trying to catch my breathe & tears rolling down my face . esp when daddy sent the trunk money make sure his daughter stayed & trunk money had a 12ga pump . ;)
