I have a 20 spd transmission, NH220 Cummins (resealed heads, tune up, all new hoses, lubes, oil leaks repaired), 44K rear ends, double frame and a wet kit on it.
I am trying to get it in that Watts Mack Calender. I bought all my parts from Watts.
Barry i think shamrocks truck should be in the calnder next year

We had a 87 R686ST That was a ole GA PC LUMBER TRACTOR TRUCK (W/2STICK INSTED OF STRIGHT 5 SPDrare i think barry any ideas ?) Converted to a dumptruck it also had the square box tachograph w/ speddometer in it where a regular Mack speedometer would go up to 80mph the tachograph goes only up to 70mph .
Dash in this R model was made to fit the tachograph it looked strange in the "redsliegh" (our driver for this truck looked like a slender santa clause & truck was cherry red paint ) insted of having the regular speedometer

Can anyone tell me why the tire guys think its allright to gouge and scuff the exterior of your nice looking aluminum Budds during tire changes?Makes you wanna bite nails sometimes-Kevin
I KNOW SOMEBODY THAT IS A INDEPENDANT TIRE MAN (who used to run regional w/ a truck & done most of his own tire work his self so hes been on both sides the fence )
He must be an exception because not only does he have the ring to go on the wheels to keep from sratching while taking em on & off the truck but he has a a custom made tarp to lay em down on when mounting & dismonting them also to keep from scrathing the alcoa's . he will also tell ya if he backed up say like an hour & half he could get to ya then it anit like others say theyll be there in a hour & a half & show up 4 hours later
I havent seen him scratch 1 yet . he takes pride in everbody's ride like it was his own
but have seen other tire men take a freshly polished alcoa & scar it to Hell & back that enough to make even a preacher cuss .

Amen yall give a ole 711, 673 ,237 ,300 or a 350 anyday i may not pass the fellas w/425&500 cats & cummins & detroits but will defently keep the pace within the load range & timewise & like a another poster said @ the pump side by side the fuel bill a lot cheaper ....
If anit broke dont fix it the ole 237 is a realiable motor & is as tough as wet leather we had several over the years in DM & R Models they are hard to beat .

Truck looks nice but the fact is 18 miles or not it's still 18 years old. Not many people going to pay that much money for a truck that old, even if it's never seen the road.
ya why buy a truck it never see the road ill never understand paying that kinda money & not putting on the road or on/off road maybe it was in a yard spotting trailers or something ? any 44k seems steep to me

Im w/ you guys why blow up a bulldog when ya could blow up a cornbinder ,Volvo ,or a Sterling
Ya WV It was fire down below i bout cried like a baby on that movie when they blew the dog up sound like 318 (8V71)or12V71 Detroit in the DM800SX In fire down below also it hurt to watch the Rmodel get blown in millons of pieces on mythbusters

Both goodlooking trucks i bet the ole 9500 jimmy has a 671(238) Detroit & 5&2 Tranny or a 10spd tranny!
we had a 74' 9500 single axle just like it but it was white w/ bellyblower muffler(underside along frame muffler w/ downspout Turned to the rightside ) w/ 238 & 5&2 tranny w/ 23k rearend we used a lowboyboy tractor & then later used as a fuel/lube (grease) truck man used to love to hear our driver make that ole 238 jimmy scream w/ a load esp going under a over pass on I-240 Or I-55 Down in Memphis makes fer a heck of a lotta noise under the overpass w/ a belly blower bouncing the sound off the wall (but sweet music to my ears )
i miss "lil jimmy" he was a good ole truck my pops traded him fer a 4 wheeler bout 8 years back
