  1. This transmission was given to too many drivers that years back would have only been given a 5 speed or two stick 6 speed. Nothing new most drivers havent gotten any better, they should still only have a 237 and a 5 speed.

  2. The standard spec for many years was 20 or 18 on the front and 55, 58 or 65 rears on big rubber. Now most tandems are 20 on the front and 52 rears with 12r24,5 rubber.

Its funny you say that most tandems have 52 rears and small rubber. We have always called them when we see them an "H&H Special". They always stocked and sold alot of them with that combo and bibeau bodies. Cambria and Trenton sold and stocked more trucks with 58's and 24" rubber and had stock truck with b-d body. Id say still 50/50 24.5-24" rubber mix in Central Jersey.

  3. Put the 52's under that truck. We run 80,000 and I have 58's under mine. I know 46's will take it but I have always liked to have the truck able to carry the weight with the lift off the ground.

I checked out the Hendrickson stuff at mid America and was impressed, probably more expensive but more than likely lighter and longer lasting than Watson Chalin. 20/20/52 is a bunch of axle, never seen a tri axle with 52's I know of. You gonna run 90,000#? What's the cost and weight difference from 46-52 rears?
