  1. I do know most 03 models had a lot of egr issues, they should have been solved by now though. There was a 03 Volvo Riechmann Transport that went through quite a few egr's in the couple months I was with them. Good thing it was the only Volvo in the entire fleet of Freightliner's and International's.

  2. I hope it doesn't pass the Senate! I sure hope they have enough sense to get rid of the damn thing. If you want to know if socialized medicine works look at Canada and most of Europe........Nope it doesn't work at all!

  3. I know Manac's have that same set up with the plate that can be added anywhere, they have a storage place under the trailer that are held by a pin. I think there is a total of like 20 of them things, looks pretty good that they can be stored instead of left on the trailer. I know when I was working at Riechmann, Dave you may know of them, they had a few Manac's that the seasoned driver's got. They ran mostly Transcraft and Utilities with a few Trail/Load King double drops thrown in the mix. I like the look of the Manac's and the good thing with Manac is they are a Canadian company but they got a plant in Missouri, none of that Mexican garbage.

  4. That is true too and that light is known to change pretty quickly. I know they don't stop on a dime and I'm just glad there was no cars stopped at the light. Cause when I was turning onto Route 3 it just changed. He was at least 1/4 to 3/4 of a mile from the light and it was a good possibility he was reaching down for something as well. At first I thought maybe it was his brakes cause he sure didn't make an effort to stop and he was just coasting well under the speed limit.

  5. MackDaddy I rode in a brand new 03 Vision at the time pulling a pnuematic tank from St. Louis to Decatur back down to Peoria down to Missouri and then all the way to Alabama. I rode in a CH to Kansas City and let me tell ya those were the best trucks I ever rode in. Sure those were several years ago but I've always been biased about Mack's.

  6. I was coming through Hartford (small town here in IL with the refineries, other dog will know where I'm talking about) I was about to get onto Route 3 when I hear an air horn blaring well this Beelman Peterbilt (company truck) ran through the red light blaring his horn. I tried raising him on the cb but he didn't answer and it had my heart racing when I seen this unfold. I don't know if his brakes failed or what but I don't know if he was loaded or not cause he must have came from Alton cause he was going towards I-270. He seemed to be coasting but he sure wasn't doing the speed limit which is 55, I'd say he was getting her slowed down or at least trying to. Like I said I don't know if he lost his brakes or what but PLEASE always remember to do a pretrip!
