Incidentally, if RW1 production went to Macungie in 85 it would must have been quite short lived as I thought that the RW2 emerged the following year. It's an interesting period because there seemed to be a bit of product consolidation going on with the demise of Hayward line. The RW2 was a complete redesign with much more of an Eastern pedigree whilst retaining the looks of the old model. Am I right in thinking the Value-Liner also went to Macungie but was discontinued in 87?
The Superliner 1,Valueliner and Cruiseliner went to Macungie in 81 when Hayward closed. Cruiseliner ended in 83,Superliner 1 in 85,and Valueliner in 87

I had it listed on here for sale quite awhile back, never got the right kind of interest. Not gonna sell it to just anyone with the money.

Only thing that would scare me is that damn lime box,if it was a spreader very long the frame, rears, brake components, etc.are gonna have major corrosion. I'd still buy it,but I'd offer 1200 or so,maybe less, I don't know where you are but scrap is in the toilet here. My scrap buyer is paying 50/ton,but is advising everyone to hold off .

I've got one out in the weeds, probably needs boiled out,but it was good when taken out,I'd let it go for scrap value.

Also I've found Cascade dishwasher soap works really well for flushing.

Before you put the valve covers back on take a 2x4 and a hammer, turn the covers upside down and give them a rap or 2 at the bolt holes, they have a tendency to get sucked down from tightening and don't seal the best. I've only ever seen rubber gaskets for these.

There's plenty of B model cabs and sheet metal around, you dont have to knock one in the head to do what you want.

Thanks. Do you know which Mack models had them?
As far as I've seen,it was just a small group of Western F models, FS758LST I believe was the exact model.

Somebody correct me if I'm mistaken but I'm sure Mack has built it's own engine since the very 1st bus in 1900. I'm sure the guy was just misinformed or confused by the fact Mack was part of the International Motor Co.a partnership of Mack,Sauer, and Hewitt,at the time. On the subject of Macks with IH engines,I have 3 that have been repowered by RD450's,a B42,a EHU,and a H67.

I am with Maddog on the covers on the door hinges. Have read that they were stopped in the late 50's or 60's Maybe it was an on and off thing. Now it is listed as a 1960. Would think you would know the year when listing it. My books show 113 B 77 s made. Did all have with the Cummings Iron Lung engine ? Seems that this engine with the Roots blower would be before the turbo charged engines. I am sure someone here knows.the when the engine was produced. Wish the truck was closer. Would go $5,500 with the original engine
He made a correction in the original listing stating it was a 1960,and yes all the B77's had the supercharged Cummins. There was also a B773,they had the 335 Cummins.

It is and I have been looking closely at all of the early B's and F's that used the same style side panels. There appears to be many different styles and I assume it may have to do with the engine that is installed. This BM was ordered from the factory with the larger cube engine that was the standard in the BX so I am thinking there must have been a difference??
That could be.

I do but this hood doesn't have space for the emblem? Note the distance between the louvers and the hinge.
That's odd.

Trying to make up my mind whether to leave the homemade grille screen on or hunting up a pair of shutters. Gonna try and straighten the hood best I can, hopefully I can pop the dents out of the cab,get all the emblems on it and a stack, then probably call it good. Might paint fenders black.
