There was 6357 B60's built,so just looking through the registry, your serial number would put it around 57 or 58.

There was one W71 in Northwest Diesel yard indeed. But as long as I remember Mike never mentioned of purchasing it. I think there was a talk on purchasing the H but the deal didn't happen to happen.
The W71 is in PA.

Those look like the 2 pieces behind the seats. The piece with the holes goes on top,the holes are where the passenger seat attaches to back of cab

115000 + 10% buyers premium. I don't know if they had a cap on the premium or not.

Yup, pretty sure.
Also square fuel tanks and the air tanks removed from under the battery boxes and installed on brackets to the chassis. Plenty of minor similarities too.
What's the last 4 numbers of the VIN? Mine is 1022.

Just setting around the house on this Independence Day and just got to thinking about the trucks that were painted red white and blue in 1976 I was just wondering if anyone knows where one of these R-Models are located and if there is any way to tell by the serial number if it was originally one of these trucks repainted as was the case with a local Brockway thanks Brian
They were actually painted that design before 1976,think it was 1970 when that design first appeared. Nothing in the serial number indicates that paint design, youd have to look up the line sheet.

You can use hub piloted wheels on old studs if machine the holes. Otherwise (and the correct way) is to install newre style hubs for newer hub piloted wheels.
On the pic of the rear hub you can see wheel nuts for the old style wheels. But seems not easy to find such ones in the design of the front ones on the truck. So I expected some mod.
Those front wheels are old Alcoas, the first tubeless aluminum wheels they made just had the 5 holes and they used the conventional budd studs, not hub pilot. They are a little had to find, but not impossible, I have a few .
