Also, there were some changes to the fuel tanks, they opened up in front of the grating in the step, before dirt and water would get trapped and eventually rust it out and cause a leak

They changed how the radiator shell was mounted, made it much easier to take off.
Moved the wiper motor from under the dash to outside the firewall
Those were 2 improvements I can think of quick

good money for a "75" terry
Crying shame if its going to export. Wish they'd line those bastards up and shoot them. A 73 just sold up north of me for 11750,it was pretty good shape, but nothing special. Doors had been replaced, they were green on the inside, drivers seat was junk, missing a battery box lid, they didn't bother to mask off the Bulldogs on the doors, just painted over them. Crazy but I guess it makes my shit worth more.

Sorry! I was suggesting you had so many trucks you can't get them all inside!
I had a friend once who bought a metal building that used to be a machine shop. He finished one corner (2-3 rooms) and left the rest of it as a shop. I always thought that was the ultimate dwelling. I suggested this to my wife...but she did not share my enthusiasm for the idea.
I'd love to see more pics of that one in your avatar. Looks nice from what I can see there.
For some reason I can't post pics on this si/e,I have a hard enough time keeping logged in. It hasn't been right since Barry "improved"it awhile back.

If it was mine,id start in the mid 20s,you've got a damn nice looking truck there that wouldn't take much to finish. Only thing in my opinion that hurts it is the slow gearing.

Nice truck. Yes. It has a short hood like a B67. My father has a B46 tractor. I think it has an EN464 in it.
i agree with Vlad. It would be great if you left the truck intact. There are very few B model mixers in existence. It would be a shame to take this one apart. There are dozens of B61 tractors for sale. Sell this and buy one of them or keep this and buy another.
Your truck, but it would be a real shame to take it apart. Mike.My 63 B46S has a EN402,it was originally a mixer chassis. They must have been available with different engines

That thing is in great shape. Congrats. I just watched a youtube of a "64 B422"??? and it had the same air cleaner as on this truck but recently, I was told here that the "strapless" can was pre '59 and now this is the second truck from the mid 60's to sport one. A bit confusing.
Whoever told you those air cleaners were pre 59 was misinformed.

$500? You better grab it before he sobers up. WS712LST,steel,frame,ETAZ673A 300+ engine,315 hp. Factory twin screw tractor, thats all the info I can give you from that. There was no code for transmission, suspension, or rear ends used

The liked to break clutch pedal springs, too. Most of this is minor shit, if its cheap and runs, buy it.

The set screws in the box on the shift tower would work loose and make the shift lever sloppy, windshields are super hard to find. The plastic dog house cover was notorious for cracking,if its a WL,check the aluminum frame rails for corrosion, especially where it meets the steel front frame section. Rivets in the front left panel commonly broke, make sure the cab hinges have grease zerks, ive seen those seize, im probably forgetting some other things. Any pics, info off vin tag 2ould help too

Radiator only comes out the front. Able to remove it by myself using a pair of ratchet straps. Will need a few other bodies to get it back in though. Will need an upper water inlet neck before going back in. Got an inquiry into Watts on this. Any other suggestions?? 2 1/4" hose inlet, 45 degree angle, 3 1/2 inch bolt spacing
I've got 2 G radiators out,ill see if either has the same piece.

Here is an opportunity to advance our hobby with today's technology. Anybody have knowledge or contacts in the world of imaging and additive manufacturing? A scan of an existing D42 emblem can be digitized and 3d printed off. I need a G75 emblem for the radiator fill door of my Mack. This website would be a great place to store the files for anyone's future use in their restorations.
Any thoughts on this????
I have a leftover B42 emblem to kick off the process if anyone is willing to try.
I've got an extra G75 emblem

Got a question. Have to pull the radiator on the G and have the core replaced. It only lasted 60 years darn... The cab only tilts about 40 degrees so it isn't coming out from above. Does it come out the front after removing the bumper and the grill. Can anybody confirm this?
Thx
Dennis
Those cabs will tilt a full 90 degrees, but id make sure all is working properly before id try it.

When I built my first B,back when I was still in high school, I too wanted budds on the steer, thats when I found out many Mack models used the same hubs. I pulled 3 or four from parted out trucks out back behind my local dealer before I found the right fit, which strangely enough came from an old MB611.

Tracked this truck back to Tom Pierce and his restoration shop in Blissfield, Michigan. He purchased it around 1992, restored it, painted it in Norwalk Truck Lines livery and took it to the 1994 ATHS show in Buffalo. I was there with my 36 Dodge LE32 but don't really remember it. It was sold in his auction to Bill Smith in 1994. Will be inquiring of the Mack Museum for the build sheet and who it was originally sold to.
I really didn't think it was Tom's old one,but I hadnt seen it in nearly 30 years. How's he doing, its been 5 or 6 years since I've heard from him.

I have some good used Econodyne emblems

Pretty hard to answer such a vague question, are you going to look at a restored truck, barn find, work truck, project,??????,different things to look at depending on what you are looking for. Kinda like asking what somethings worth without providing pics

Hi! I hope this reinvigorates this thread. I married into the Celli family, and my husband and I will be adding another Celli boy to the family lineage in September. I would love to get the little guy a CTC model truck to display in his nursery, or some old newspaper articles to frame, that talk about CTC or Eugene, Emil, Bob, or any of the rest of the crew. Can any of you point me in the right direction to find anything like this?
Just saw one listed on Ebay

I looked at this truck before it was cut up. Had a v-8 detroit in it. Years later I saw the hood in Reno on it's way to you and ended up buying the cab from the same guy. Still have it, waiting to go on a 69RL700.
Im glad to hear someone got the cab,I would've got it but couldn't get a ride for both.

B-61 changes
in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion

Thats about right, they went to a bracket attached to the headlight panel that went to the radiator support, instead of having the panel bolted to the shell itself. So all you had was the bolts on top,the one on each side behind the hood latch, and 2 at the bottom that went to a bracket on the shutters. I hope I explained that right . If I could still post pics on this damn site ,there's a nice illustration in one of my older Mack all purpose, m.anuals
