  1. 7th to 8th doable ; maybe 11=12=13. if you make it to an easy 18=19=20th ''congratulations :: you are a TRUCK DRIVER.. : side note, i didn't make it.
  2. now everyone raise their hand that just spent 10 minutes trying to follow this shift pattern !!! YES my hand is up also. LOL
  3. now this post has my curiosity going . weather in ct gets above 40 i'll take a ride to farm ;; try for side numbers ; and see if i can save it from scrap yard. hopefully i can get it. might bring it home and take it apart to remember the good ole days..
  4. not according to my wife 🤣 LOL
  5. the farmer that owns it is an "auction addict" . i asked about it last summer when i discovered it with other junk . he wasn't sure - said it came with other truck stuff.
  6. it's a small twin stick
  7. can't read side stamped numbers . will try and acquire it if some one can use it. it's in CT. if i can get it for zero ; that's what i'll ask for it. hate to see it sit and rust away or worse ;;; scrapped
  8. I do recall dash shift patterns that had two spots backwards. never paid that much attention as to why. i wasn't in to numbers that much(TRQ/TRD etc ) then . main motto was ;; if it's broke fix it . once had a customer that missed a shift on a hill ::mack F-600 with duplex. shattered the back half. he "acquired "another 10 speed from a competitor down the road. using a backhoe i pulled the trans, swapped parts to make a good one . installed alone;; any idea of trips from backhoe to truck lining up the trans . point is there was a big difference in front/ rear half ratio afterwards. he complained , i said then don't steal the next one buy the right parts! LOL
  9. I would have to agree. todays world you never know whos watching. good or bad. my sister had difficulty registering her guns; i questioned . why would you register. then the "good guys" know where to go when martial law takes effect. bad guys don't register.
  10. hair line cracks are possible in alum housing; but the housing cold shouldn't leak as bad as an expanding alum housing hot/warm. the housing isn't internal where expanding will seal a crack ; it's "open surrounding housing" expanding should open a crack which would leak constant . maybe.
  11. the scary part is = who is they? many know someone is in charge ; very few know who. going off topic again . nice fire truck . so many small FD's would greatly appreciate a "new " addition like that.
  12. get that dm model out start to build it
  13. give it time; sooon when someone mentions the great golden years you will do the same as will smith on the award show other night. sure you have heard /seen it . his slap is more famous then covid/ russia ukranie crap. golden yrs you tell someone to go f--- themselves. the drs like people in the golden yrs. i haven't had a beer in way to long. heart dr told me yrs ago ;; don't come back here 20lbs over weight now that your retired. beer adds the lbs fast. not counting pain pills i have three heart pills.
  14. another old age situation;; your told DO NOT mix alcohol (hang overs ) with meds. old age brings in many meds. LOL😁
  15. the body parts don't get worse (yes they do); call it they get more challenging to operate. your DM is a DM6??? , DM607/611 ? do you have the same shift pattern on the dash or is it showing 15 speed?
  16. possibly but he states it's in the DM 607 he posted a picture of. a DM607 wouldn't be gas ?? 711 or 673 non-turbo . green interior from picture. i'm thinking early DM. not saying trans wasn't changed ;; who would change dash shift pattern.
  17. it can be done without cab off. helps alot to be 20-30 yrs old. have tried lowering with a rope, someone inside cab and helper outside. remove small side panel outside , try not to think of how many fingers will be smashed .
  18. at 70/closing in on 71; i don't think i can climb the steps to sit in the seat and turn the key to start it ,never mind change it ,,,
  19. the DM800 along with it's "older brother " the B81 will always be a favorite . the steel nose 600 is a close "cousin" . the steel nose 600's back in the day have also been called other names when twisting upside down trying to remove items such as starters. LOL . that orange one must be up in age late 60's=early 70's being a 607 (sx)?
  20. one picture
  21. i have heard the term mini -quad used in yrs past. at the farm i've been hanging out at; supposed to be getting a B81sx up and running there. out back with lots of other stuff is a mack trans. i t's a small twin stick . tried to clean off data plate section for numbers didn't come clean enough. complete trans with mounts. took some pictures a while back. can try and up load. back section had a repair . will talk with owner and find out his plans before it's scrapped .
  22. I've been staring at that pattern for some time now. 1- can't recall ever seeing a 14 ;; 2= minus 5th lo which would give the 14, it states lo-lo NOT a splitter. 1st lo-lo only?? that would take out 3-4 more moves . how14?? like the 6 speed twin stick maxi low for first only was "made into a10 speed by many
