  1. I looked at this this morning I have the 400s turbo so 19-27. I’m going to say we are in that range. Couldn’t find a low pressure oil filled gauge and it wouldn’t stay very steady to read. That data shows 1200 degrees on pyro as a high this thing is doing good to get them to 900. Which I would think would be higher if we didn’t get enough air to it.
  2. Put a gauge on the intake. Under load it’s right in that 20psi are. See get little better at the right load an rpm. Part of what makes it a little slow is the ratio it’s like 1275 rpm at 55mph. I know that’s probably close to peak torque though for these engines??
  3. I think I’m going to put a gauge on it and just see where it’s at. No reason I can’t go in the plug on the back of the intake manifold is there.
  4. I understand the torque ratings of this engine is different. What would you all say that I should see as an intake pressure under load? The vin is. 128904.
  5. Have gotten a lot of the odds and ends cured on the truck. If I were to change the turbo and injectors an had Mack change the software could I get the 427 horsepower that some e7’s were. And how much engine life am I giving up. It has 750k on just a little short pulling 85-90k loads. Would rather put up with it being a little slow than to reduce engine life a great deal.
  6. 2000 ch613 with a I believe a 2090 transmission. The one that has the odd shift pattern ( doesn’t use the high gear in low range). What oil should be in it. Servicing the whole truck a was gonna change it. We always had used 80/90 in others but read now that that may not be right.

  8. I’ll have to get the part number Monday
  9. Maybe I should say it won’t stay up to temp setting running idle in a line. And will never warm up if you don’t put a load on it. I really have no doubt it’s not disengaging I guess more the question is where to look to cross numbers to come up with another one.
  10. Put it on in April. Seem at the time to not disengage I thought. Then this fall my help made the comment thats not ever shutting down. With engine off I can turn the fan but will also slip the serpentine belt some while doing so. I’ll say it is nothing like the one on the granite we have.
  11. I contacted Mack seems I got the last one they had. Is there other manufacturers out there that we could cross the part number to that would be this style?
  12. 2000 e7 355-380 engine I put a new fan clutch on it from Mack. Now it seems to never disengage and takes for ever to warm up as it gets colder out. This one of this viscous (one with little coil spring sensor in the middle). Not an air operated one. Did I get a bad one or is that style just troublesome?
  13. No it’s always been a day cab. We’ve got a granite that has a 310 in it I kinda like it better it does have lo low for field work I like. The 2090 is still working just not my favorite transmission.
  14. Have ch 613 that has the 2090 transmission. Thinking of switching to something else. Truck has the 355-380 engine. What would be the best fit. Sure doesn’t need a higher gear and could use a lower low for the farm. I need to look and see what ratio it is. 65 is about 1450rpm.
  15. The 1-1 is the abs light after pushing the abs switch left of the steering wheel. had it hooked to laptop there are no active or inactive codes in it so going to run it till it quits. Can’t fix something that isn’t broke at the moment 🤷
  16. Traction light comes on and get a 1-1 blink on the abs light. Wish I hadn’t have done that now I have abs and trac light and can’t get them off. Delivered load and put the fuses back in the abs ran home 25 mi with only seeing the traction light just a instant then out an no problem.
  17. I see the switch what will it do if I switch it to abs. Had to pull the fuses to get load off this morning.
  18. If I pull abs fuses will it shut traction control off? Water is full and the malfunction light shut down is connected to the traction light some how. Only does it when it’s on!
  19. Nothing. I m going to watch this morning yesterday it would shut down going down the road the malfunction light would come on and before you could do anything about it everything was back. When I pulled in the drive I see the traction light was on.
  20. Seems this truck doesn’t like the changing of the seasons. After our fight with oil pressure blink codes last fall it ran all winter with no issues. Today’s problem is while driving the traction light eliminates almost immediately you get a electrical malfunction light and it shuts down. Just that fast it comes back leaves no time to check a blink code. Will it store faults for a dealer to check with out it being on currently?
  21. What’s the difference. I know of one says b61 on the hood but radiator is much squarer and has the shutters running horizontal instead of vertical. Have just seen few pics. It’s listed as a 54 an has a turbo Charged engine I assume a transplanted 237.
  22. Have ran it all week in cold temps have not seen any fault codes. Only thing I found was a wire rubbed to ground be hind the kick panel in front of the passenger seat. I see for some reason the odometer and the hour meter have stopped counting. Had the odometer stop on the last one of these must be a week spot a 700,000 miles that’s where it quit to have to just use the hub meter! Thanks for the help!
