    That Franchi R Model is absolutely a mix and match truck. My uncles said that’s what they did in the 70’s and 80’s. They refer to them as trucks they “put together” implying they were a mix of wrecked trucks and hot parts which was the norm of sorts back then. The family had a bunch of them. I’m always on the lookout for more pics.

    The driver got out seconds before to unlock the tailgate. My uncle had a fleet of these r models followed by a fleet of superliners followed by a fleet of ch tractors. Unfortunately he stopped painting and naming them as the years passed.
