three shifters with knobs 3 inches from the roof are compensating for a small male member in my opinion.

I just worked on a 2006 Volvo VNL with the pre-emission D-16 engine. I didn’t think to look at the HP rating. It seemed to run pretty strong though. Volvo pushed the VNL as their heavy haul truck with many different engine options for many years. After the Mack Titian and MP-10 was discontinued in the US , Volvo pushed the VNL again as a heavy haul truck with the D-13 500HP/1900 ft pound torque or the Cummins X15 565HP/1850 ft pounds of torque. The Mack MP8 is maxed out at 505 HP/1860 foot pound of torque. It seems the Mack 505 Plus ( 1900 foot pounds of torque) is no longer available. The 505 Plus was a beast but seemed to cause some weird vibrations when under long hard pulls in the CHU trucks I worked on . I believe the 505 plus was available between  2014-2016 and pre-common rail engines in 2017 .

Here in Australia Our MP8 is available  @535/1920

So a friend did some digging and told me it is not a 1974. He said it shows 1967, built by the day shift in Basildon England.

It Looks like an earlier 6X series to Me. which ran to '68 then the 6Y series ran to '75.. though I've never seen an early X series with a Spin on Oil filter I thought they all had Cartridge type Oil Filters.

I spent thousands of Hours during My early Teenage Years on a Ford 4000. cutting raking & Baling Hay..

This truck is under warranty and I have an extended warranty but I am having to pay for all this work to find a problem that is under warranty because the truck isn't telling them what's wrong with it

The engine is now the S13 and the transmission is now the T14.

I'm 99.99% sure that they're Both Scania sourced, & are exactly the same as the Scania Super 13 Drivetrain...

OK. How tight should the collar be? It slid off pretty easily with very little effort. Just a little wiggle and it slid right off, which would lead me to think it slid right on and no tool was required. Should there be a lot of friction between the collar and spindle? Perhaps is the wrong seal and collar for this application?

Sounds Like A Job for a Speedi sleeve to Me..!!

I have seen someone (with bigger gonads than I) put a clip on  Tyre chuck  on & fold/Kink the hose over to  block it, Dribble a little bit of Petrol (gas to you) around the Bead, then throw a lighted match & let the hose unkink at the same Time.

The Whoosh creates a vacuum & the rush of Air will seat the Bead..!!
