I've been doing this to Our Camp over for years.. Never been Olied either! & still as clean as the day We got It..

Don't bother with stand, just sit it straight on the coals & a shovel full of Hot Coals on the Lid & you can roast a piece of Meat to perfection..!

Is there a Fleetguard or Donaldson Part Number on your Old Air Filter element??

.A couple of Blokes I know who've Brought in several Old Trucks each. have Told Me It's next to impossible now to bring in Old Trucks. Mainly to do with the EPA & asbestos in the Brake linings & Clutch Plates. From what I can Gather they're a Law unto themselves..

What are your engine Mounts Like.

I've had a Truck where with worn Engine Mounts when the Clutch was depressed the whole Engine & gearbox were Moving ever so slightly forward & giving symptoms similar to what you're describing.

Is It possible that the Clutch Shaft through the Bell housing is 180Degrees Out of whack..??
