Swishy that White 7000 was the one I saw on you tube. Nice looking White.

Couple of dollars and it will be good as new!

Mechohaulic-Closing in on 77 God willing. I saw somewhere on youtube that a guy had an electric elevator step to get into his cab over.

Too bad the MH's didn't have time to reach their full potential. They would probably be in there third generation by now with options up the wazoo!

More gears is always better. Like the old B models, not much on power but the gears made up for it. Maxidynes could lug but why not give them a break in retirement. Mack kind of missed the boat (IMO) with the long step between 4th and 5th on the 237's

Thats a ready made Mack mechanical fleet right there. Not necessarily a drivers comfort truck but money makers for sure!

Louis-chill out-Canadian Mack did put out some beauties over the years-Parts and Warranty are a different issue. You can probably blame the Mack controllers for a great part of that-Signal, Renault, and now Volvo.

Were all DC 405's built in California? I would think some came from Illinois. I saw on facebook that some of them were aluminum cabs.

1/2 a tilt cab๐ย I've seen this model before and did, but did't
ย realize this was an R model. Buubble nose R.
-
Was this IH's first attempt at a tilt cab over? If so sure was popular for a first attempt.

Good point Mowerman!

Who was at the helm during Mack's demise? Signal acquisition was the start. Paccar came through the tough times, why didn't Mack? Spread too thin like White and IH?
-
May be try a good quality rubber bushing at the spring end.
-
Was the cab galvanized? They started in about 85 or so.

Oh by the way sorry for your loss.

Was watching the trucker Freedom Parade on you tube. Not one Mack! Looked like a Paccar Parade. Wish them the best though.

Brocky-As you know at one time Mack had the Budd Cab N-model. At about the same time Mack was making in house (I believe) F Models. Like you say they are similar in windshield size and curvature. It seems to me that these similarities were not by accident. I wonder if anyone has more information on the development of the F Model Mack.๐?
