  1. Thanks Rob, I have actually had a good day. The house was filled with children and grandchildren, and we were able to share some good food and fellowship together. That's all i would ask for. I am looking forward to a good year. That would be my prayer for you and our other friends as well. James

  6. The parts you are asking about that seal the glass to the channel is referred to as "glass run channel". The parts that are mounted to the inner, and outer shell of the door is called "flocking", "cat whiskers", or "belt weather strip". The clips are mostly generic in nature and any good glass company that deals in automotive glass should be able to help you. JC Whitney also is an outlet for the home craftsman. The wing window rubber seals are just that, seals. These are very expensive, (almost $200.00 american) and are specific to the truck type. There are a couple of vendors that specialize in reproduction of these parts and I'm sure Barry can steer you the right direction.

Get that cab covered to lessen your future headaches since you don't want to give that truck to me.

What's up with this Lab dinner????? I thought we were all dog lovers around here!!!

  7. You may need a 90 degree in that hose. So you may want to consider a 90 degree exhaust elbow. Then all you need is short sections of hose and clamps for the connections. The steel pipe will look good and handle the under hood heat for ever.

    Chuck

Thanks, Chuck.......I used PVC and hose connections for now. But the exaust fitting will be the next step, (summertime) unless I find the original replacement.

  8. 4" schedule 40 plastic sewer pipe works good too. You just cut it and glue on whatever elbows you need to get it to fit, then connect it at each end with a short rubber boot and hose clamps.

Of course it won't look original, but it does get the job done.

Thanks Herb, I was hoping somebody would tell me that would do the job!! (for now anyway)

  9. Hey Rusty,

Best thing to do is buy the hose, if need be flair the ends. Make sure to put clamps or nuts on first. Use some of that fro ingenuity. Keep us posted.

    mike :mack1:

Mike, I got a price of around $50./per foot for 4" hose; which prompted me to ask here if there's any cheaper way around it. Thanks

  10. Its trying to say replace me but you can replace the valves in the head with a field repair kit that i am sure bendix still sells. That will be a tuflow 500 bendix and you may be able to replace the maintenance kit with out pulling the compressor. You have done your home work to find were it was leaking. Some guys would have never found that. glenn

Glenn, thanks for the help!!.....Next question...any local suppliers to get the repair kit???...I'm in southern jersey
