Speaking of new tires...I had just about wore out all my drive tires and trailer tires....I mean the D.O.T. would have locked my butt up and thrown away the key if they had seen what I was riding around on. So I've been working what little bit of butt I have off to get some decent tires . But as my luck would have it I didn't get them free....hhhmmmm tell us again how you pulled that one off Rob. Did you have some dirt on the ole guy? Just kidding

Hello 3-P of coarse there is a Mack in the new Transformer movie Mack is the greatsest name in Trucks..Seriously there was also a Mack in the first movie or at least a Mack chassis. The Buffalo mine clearing vehicale rides on a Mack chassis. The buffalo is the one Optimus prime nailed with the sword in the big battle on the interstate in part one. To see pictures of a "Buffalo" check out issues of The Bulldog mag volume 2,2005. Everyone you can still download this issue at www.macktrucks.com.

Welcome on board Fuel Mule,we're glad to have you. I never drove a Road Boss but I did have the pleasure of driving a 1979 White Road Commander cabover...we drivers called it the Road Commode. Our boss called her The Hornet as the truck was an old Ploof trucking truck and was green with puke yellow strips. I tell yah she road a hell of a lot better than any frieghtliner cab over I ever drove.

Hello to all,

Yeah me too. They tried to kill me last week and wanted me to run anouther load up to North Haven CT. monday but I ran out of hours (70 hour rule) monday morning at 6 am. So I have been working in the yard and yesterday bought all the parts I needed to install a new clutch in my truck. I think I broke a spring in the old one and sometime it won't release so I have to start it in gear to get it in gear without grinding it in to junk.

Hey Mike my Dad ran "Shine" in the early 60s. He did that until the guy he was partners with started stealing cars. Dad said that he wasn't out to hurt anyone so that ended him running "Shine"....however he did still make it...maybe I should've gotten that recipe after all. His favorite movie was Thunder Road with Robert Mitchum.

Fellas I thought the guy was about to roll her right off the side of the road. My hat is off to ALL you guys and galls who work those job sites. I get into alot of Junk Yards and the only thing other than the mud that I have to worry about is cutting a tire. Yall be careful.

I'm still trying to climb out of the hole right now, I had the satillite turned off when the freight went thru the floor. Thank God I didn't buy that new truck last year I would have lost it by now.

So did my son. I really liked the show too. Funny, yet clean. Quite different than I was used to.
Rob
Yep it was a good show...better than most of the crap on nowadays.

A bill in the U.S. House of Representatives would provide grant money to increase security and improve conditions for truck parking across the country.
Why does it always take one of us getting killed before the government acts?????? How about why their at it pass a law so states cann't ticket us for parking in rest areas and on ramps when we comply with the federal hours of service regulations??????? Morons.

Naw just kidding. though i did grow up watching ALF on tv.

The story behind the casket.. I was over at my frends house one day, his dad was working on his will. We was joking around about how we would like to "go out", you know the usual "don't put me in a suit, I never wore one before" and the like. He said he didn't want to be hauled in a hearse, he wanted to be hauled by the old mack. We all laughed and didn't think much more about it, He past about a year or so later, and He had put it in his will thats what he wanted. So we worked on the truck day and night for 2 days, got it ready and that is the result..
Fred
Been gone for a few days..6 to be exact and just got home. That was a nice thing to do for him. I hope if I go out some one will do the same for me. Has to be a Bulldog Mack and everyone I know will testafy to that. Either that or an old John Deere like the old "A" we used to have.

WOW thanks for those uploads! It is depressing to see how well the E9 did in the trials and then the programs were scrapped. I can only imagine how that fishing boat sounds with two 950 HP E9's, must really growl. The military E9 looks down right mean. Too bad Mack had a falling from grace and was scooped up by Volvo, imagine if the 90's were better for Mack. It would be awesome if the E9 was still around.
You got that right Thad. I would have loved to see even one of those 750's in my truck.
