May have originally been a "bruck" (bus/truck combination). NP and GN had a few of them to provide passenger and LTL freight service on branch lines where the freight volume was too low to support daily train service.
Coles Express of Maine had the idea of putting a passenger compartment on a tractor trailer unit. Haul passengers and freight up and back from the county in the summer. l understand that the lCC would not let them do it because of the train and bus services that were available at the time. At the start of this video the oil tank on the GMC would be removed and the passenger compartment installed. Notice it has two steer axels and only one drive axel. http://www.colemuseum.org/articles/81-222/cole-city-dedication-to-progress/4 Hippy

Macks, lf that MF is the same size as my 8N Ford without hydraulics. l've seen them use a cable and pulleys back to the 3ph to raise and lower the plow. l'm sure there are pictures on the www. somewhere of one. Hippy

It was harder getting them all to fit back on at the show.
Hobert are you loading the tricycles with 2 or 3 ramps on your trailer? l watched a guy at the Big Red show in Dublin NH load with two ramps. Now that was something to see. Hippy

l remember seeing Hendricksons in Chicago back around '78-'80. I delivered candy from Boston (Schrafft's, Doran's, Nabisco) for Polar Transport of Hanover Ma. I also have the C/J doubles from Matchbox, whats left of them. l let my son play with them way back when. Hippy

maybe its just me but I have noticed that cars that are either charcoal, gray, silver or golden bronze in color are most likely to drive with out the lights on ! they are also the same color to match the road surface or the horizon during poor weather
No it's not just you gearhead, l've been noticing it for some time. When the wife and l are out and see a car coming without lights on we bet as to what color it is. NH tried to pass the "Wipers on Lights on" law last year but it failed as not being needed. Hippy

Drove it around 150 miles to Flat Top, WV, down I-64 most of the way. We cut over to US 19 at Beckley mostly to avoid tolls.
We bought our MB in Bluefield VA just down 77 from Flat Top.
