  1. New fuel filter, and just installed and new turbo and intercooler. I sprayed everything down with soapy water and seen no leaks. I did have one code 4-9 with is the EGR valve. Came on while sitting at red light then as soon as I touched throttle went off and hasn't came back up.
  2. 04 ch613 AC 437. When I'm bobtailing truck runs great, throttle response it perfect. When I hook up to a empty log trailer truck fails on its face. Takes forever to pick up speed. It's like the truck doesn't see it has a load. Does anyone have any idea? Thanks
  3. Thanks Micky for the info.
  4. Having to replace turbo on my 2004 CH 427. The turbo I took off has 631GC5176DM3X part number and the one Mack said should be on it is a 631GC5171AMX. What are the differences between the two?
  5. Ok thanks, I've had so many problems with this VTG crap
  6. Can I put a ECM off a 2000 Mack on my 2004 and do a turbo and mainfold swap to do away with the Warner VTG turbo?
  7. I had the same problem with my 2004 CH and I went with the one piece tank that's metal.
  8. pulled the thermostats out of my 2004 and didn't know there were 2 different ones. There's a 180 and a 185, witch one goes to the front?
  9. Thanks for the input, I ordered the PAI kit going to give it a try!
  10. What are yalls thoughts on the PAI inframe kits? My 2004 CH with a 427 is needing to be rebuilt and wasn't sure if I should go with genuine Mack kit or the PAI?
  11. Ok guys talked to Mack and they wanted me to bring it in so they could check it out. After 6 hours found nothing they told me it was normal but from what I've read on the service bulletin it's not but they act like I have no clue what I'm talking about. I told them it says the lever should alway be in the down position at idle. The truck runs great but sometimes when you stop at a red light and go to take off it has no boost/power until you get up around 4 or 5 gear. I've noticed while sitting at the red light the sound of the exhaust will change it seems to get louder and that's when it will do it. Any help would be nice I'm about to go crazy on this one. Thanks guys
  12. Ok thanks for the help. Looks like it will be this weekends project!
  13. I checked very thing out. Max air pressure is120 and no leaks.
  14. Ok I will check it out. I noticed when the lever is down you can hear alittle air coming out of the release port on the VTG module. The filter at the bottom looks new.
  15. I have a 2004 CH and just had Mack install a new VTG module, they said at idle the vane actuator lever should be in the down position. Well I noticed mine will be in the down position for awhile but then will go back up. But as soon as I tap the throttle it will go back in the down position. Is this normal? Vane Actuator Lever
  16. I have a 2004 ch doing the same thing. Sent mine to the dealer spent $7500 and no change. Was going to check fuel pressure but the plug was stripped on the front so I used the one on the back and at idle it's only reading 10 lbs, ran it up to 1800 rpm and only reading 42.
