  1. Can someone please tell me what those "snorkel" boxes are called on top of the air filters or a link to find them stateside. They are BA and I want some!
  2. Since people are talking about it and I find it hard to believe on the cost. Are you talking about the vent window in the cab? Not sure what you mean by wing.
  3. Need some info. Been looking for those badass exhaust tips for a B-Model project. What are they actually called? To me they look like snorkels but I must not be using the right terminology as I cant find them on truck accessories site anywhere. Anyone?
  4. WD, Thanks for the info. Its my mindset that since the frame is already blasted and I'm starting from new I might as well seal it while its there with POR-15. Time consuming, yes, expensive also yes but still multiple times cheaper than powder coat and in my opinion much better. A seal is a seal. With all the research I've done on POR-15 I guessed I missed the re-prep part(sand and re-prime). But with all good surface prep that's usually the case. Will let you know how the IH 41' build does. Really cool history on this project and another new truck frame to gain experience on so super pumped to knock it out over the winter.
  5. Just asking your process since I'm just finishing up blasting a 41' International frame.. You blasted, washed/prepped frame, primed frame, then POR 15 the spots you needed to and applied paint? Any Clear? (frame doesn't need it but curious)
  6. I can't put a value on it either but judging from the pics and if you say it is in really good shape unless the person knows nothing about it (doubtful), it will cost you a good penny. Add to the fact that you wont get an engine or trans plus other associated missing items it will end up being a project for sure. You just have to decide how much you want it to hurt the pocket book. Let us know what you end up buying it for. Not that we will sell our trucks but gives us a good idea of what the market is doing. Good luck!!
  7. That's where I was leaning towards and where I will start. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't something that "simple". Appreciate the help as always.
  8. All, I've recently noticed a problem with the throttle response on my B61 w/ 673T. I'll be driving in top gear (5/High) and be running about 45 to 50 mph with a 1/4 throttle and then my rpms will slowly back off until I have to down shift. Applying additional gas even down to the floor yields no response (almost as if its bogging). I'll down shift, stop and run up through the gears again no problem and drive for another 5 to 10 minutes before it happens again. My guess is fuel system, injection pump or governor? Any thoughts?
  9. Hell of a truck for 6500$. Would be a nice set up with a flatbed as well.
  10. BD, Does Morton allow you to share the cost estimate on this project? Working with them now to construct similar, but 36 x 48 in Montana for the same thing shop/ toybox. We haven't gotten to cost yet but I would like to know a ball park. Also, what options did you have? concrete floor, insulation, finished interior etc. Thanks -B
  11. Any idea what they are asking or what a truck like this as it sits is worth.
  12. You guys crack me up. Bulldog especially. Thanks for the info and I haven't converted the truck over so that's why I never cared to know.
  13. Much appreciated everyone! That was my biggest issues was there's just to much damn noise to find anything and if I can't build pressure can't find a leak so making pressure from the opposite end makes sense. Case closed and thank you. -B
  14. Hello All, Just have a question to what is located under the seat? Looks like a pump of some sort. Still learning and owned and operated the truck for a few years just never got around to finding out what this is. Picture Posted
  15. Hello all, I was driving my B Model around this weekend when I heard a huge whoosh of air. I correctly assumed I blew an air leak somewhere in the system and slowed down to stop with what remaining pressure I had left and limped back home. However I have been through the entire system and I am not able to find the leak. Additionally, the system won't pressurize from the compressor on the engine. Does this mean my problem is a bad compressor? Is there a way to reverse pressurize the system or fill it with something to help me find the leak. First timer with this problem thanks! All advice welcomed as always.
