  1. Hey guys. Thanks for posting this. I have a 99 CX613 VISION and my AC barely blows out and not cold. Cool. I have water leaking all over my carpet. Drain hose on firewall not draining much at all. Can I remove that ductwork on the right side of console to get to the evaporator filter and to clean out a blocked evaporator drain? It's a bitch to reach on the firewall. Help a brother out.
  2. This chamber that resembles a tunnel coming out of the right hand side of the AC dashboard console be removed to get to the filter and evaporator? I've taken the front cover off before where the thermostat is, but I'm not sure I can pull out the squirrel cage and evaporator to clean it without mistakenly damaging something. This AC had cost me $2000 this summer so far, and I don't want to go back to Nextran again. $130 an hour is breaking me. I'm a DIY guy anyway. Sorry for the rant. Just need a break. Thanks guys.
  3. I didn't know what it needed. This think has me more than confused. Damn ed if I do, damn ed if I dont. Too much or too little can cause the same problem. Jeez. My carpet is swamped. I just need to know how to clean the evaporator or drain, or whatever from inside where the water is coming from. I see it leaking. No pictures of anything online. Can you get to it from inside, possibly from passenger seat footwell. I tried to reach the hose on the firewall, but my arm won't bend that way. Any detailed help will be greatly appreciated. There has to be a more direct way to get to it from inside.
  4. Thanks Turkster. Since I posted this Mack found that its a TCU. Transmission Control Unit. Its an expensive fix. I never knew so many signals ran thru these control units and were tied together. The VECU and EECU. Its absolutely maddening. They were getting one from Baltimore today and I hope i'm rolling tonight.
  5. Hey Man. If you find out let me know. I have a 99 CX613. Im not sure how similiar they are, but i'm having a hard time just finding anything about fuse and relay locations. The dash mounted fuse block doesn't have a diagram on it and it's got those old style metal fuses and I cant tell whats blown and what isnt. If i just knew what to check and where it was would be a big help. Good luck with your problem bro. I hope you get back up and running.

Truck needs a TCM. Its a Gen 3 Eaton Autoshift. Just $1500. No big deal. Nah. I got lots of money. Im gonna lose my ass if this truck doesn't stop breaking down. I just need a few months break, or i may have to look into trading.

  7. I've got codes 75,88 and 63. I know they have something to do with the data link between the ECU and the transmission. I was getting off of the interstate yesterday. The truck wouldn't downshift like it usually does. Then it wouldn't go into 2nd. I have a 99 cx613 with Eaton 10 speed auto. I think it's one of the first. I shut it off the clear the code and cycled the switch to restart it. It was flashing a F - code. I have it at Mack now after sitting on the ramp for 4 hours and a horrible tow bill 60 miles to Jville. I disconnected the batteries for 20 minutes and checked what I could. Still no go. Anybody have an idea what Mack is gonna tell me when they get to it, hopefully tomorrow? Engine is an E7, 427.
  8. Can anybody give me a hand.I recently had a new condenser and air dryer replaced on my 1999 Mack Vision. It started cooling a little, but not as cold as it should. I recently added a can of r134. The floor of the cab started getting soaked. I noticed a leak under the dash beneath the center console. I vacuumed out the drain line on the firewall. When I started the truck back up, it would not cool and the compressor would not engage. The troubleshooting sensor light near the radiator now says it's working properly, when before I used the vacuum it was telling me there was a problem. Does anyone know why this may be happening? I didn't even mess with any of the AC lines index the hood.
  9. No. It has no clutch pedal. I had wondered if it was normal. I feel like it's one of the earliest automatic transmissions in a big truck, being that it's a 99. That's good information. I figured it was like the new M drives. An air assisted mechanical clutch. Thanks guys. It's good to know that's normal. I'll have to get the hang of it and see if I can feather it a little.
