Idk why Chevrolet quit making the bb. (8.1)  those 6.0 don’t get any better mileage & they don’t have close to the torque 

We ran them back in the 90’s when we raced; just didn’t know know how long they’d been around.

Bad experience with Chinese tires; drove for a guy bought an used truck 08; brand new rubber, wanli on the steers & can’t remember the rears; wobble ass steering & drives were crumbling all to pieces; Bridgestone on the front, fixed. Cooper on the rear, fixed.

I remember the rules you were talking about. Back in the day did they have girdles or roller rockers? Guess they did because they made tall covers. You’ve schooled me on blowers back then.

The tall M/T copies Holly sells are too short.

Idk what I was thinking. Just saw the m/t & remember you wanting some. These are 3”. I know better

Yes, the tall ones to clear my valve train. They are not the  103R-49B, 241-84, 241-85 or 241-87  Those are mostly what is around. Send me the part number from the ones. 241-171A is the old number for the extra tall ones.  Paul

These are on a running engine that are probably the standard ones. He hasn’t decided if he’s going to keep them. I’ll look at them better & let you know

So this one of the pair I bought on Racing Junk.com, one new one used for $500.   1100 CFM Holly Two Barrel dual feed carbs. Have to do a bit of machine work on the air horns, venturies and the throttle shafts to kick up the flow. Need to do some sizing on the jet plates and open the power valve port .003 to .004 Heads are due tomorrow or saturday and my  grandson is polishing my 6/71 case and carb adapter. Still searching for a nice clean set of M/T cast Aluminum Valve covers and a 3" x 8.250 dia. lower blower pulley with a  thin V belt adapter for my water pump drive. Rules require mechanical water pump not electric. Being a widower I can stay in the shop all hours now.

Agree; if you think you might need it put in before spinning; same goes for 4wd vehicles. Saves you trouble
