  1. yeah there 2.5 inch rams horn manifolds. there mostly for fitment but they don't flow bad esp if you clean them up. they say there is only one header made that fits this swap and there not a very good design. ill probably make a custom set of headers for it eventually...lol in the next 1-10 years. the heads are vortec truck heads from 96-00 chevy trucks, best flowing factory head Chevy ever put out modified a bit in the spring seats and guides as well as springs and a few other things. to handle a .525 lift camshaft. exaust side ports have a little clean up work done and guide profiled

its claimed to be a 400hp engine combo i think its a bit shy of that. have not had it on a dyno and its not totally dialed in yet either.

    plans include more power.

Something's wrong with your car...the needle went past the red line on the gauge.

lol yeah still have not messed with getting the tach to read right yet. but im pretty used to what the gauge reads compared to what the real rpm is. 2 extra pulses per revolution throws things off a bit

Pretty cool. What engine is in that car? Sounds like an American V8 engine?

yeah its a small block Chevy currently running vortec heads and a lt4 hot cam.

I always turn the engine slow and watch the pressure gauge and when it comes up the highest then stop turning it.

iv never really noticed a difference based on what position the engine was in. if you had a cam that had valve overlap you could have a pretty big leak out the exhaust if the engine was in overlap on one cyl. typically you wont see valve overlap on a engine that is intended to run on boost though.

i wasn't terribly concerned with actual leak down numbers when i filmed this. this was when i was trying to diagnose that chirping sound under boost. it did take a couple mins to bleed down once the air supply was turned off. still currently running that cac ill plan on replacing it probably before too long. it might be repairable too. the leak is where the cores go into the side tanks. could probably be soldered with some aluminum brazing rods.

  4. someone is gonna get hurt around here with all this motorcycle riding going on.............it snowed here yesterday i have not even looked at my motorcycle yet this year....lol

  5. nope if a intake valve is open the exhaust valve will be closed, engines that operate on boost wont have any valve overlap so every cyl will be sealed ether at the intake valve or the exhaust valves/rings, there will be some leak down but not enough to matter.

Think I'll hire this gal to mow my lawn. I was honestly looking up washing machine repair on YouTube and this gal was in the thumbnail of a washing machine repair video so I figured she'd know best how to fix a washing machine. I'm inviting her over for milf I mean milk and cookies to discuss a lawn mowing contract with her. I'm going to try and find out if she is from winfall too. I have a hunch.

for some reason i don't think there is any grass that needs mowing in Montana right now.

  7. i think your want to make it unlisted rather than privet as i think privet you cant link to it. i could be wrong on that.

tires are a lot better for pushing snow, moving dirt esp in soft ground mud, tracks are the way to go.

The wheels on my steering I started with 180 grit on the da sander.     Your right  It makes them alot easier to keep clean when they're smoothe.

yeah iv gone as low as 80 grit on a old dual rim that was going to end up on a steer, only problem with dropping that low is you have to take a few steps up from there in sanding before you can move up to buffing. where 320 as long as your using a pad/compound that is going to cut hard you can go straight to buffing. if your goal is a mirror Finnish though id probably go to 800 or higher before moving to buffing.

once they get past a certain point though your get your end results faster by sanding first than trying to do it all with buffing.

for getting your video's seen on youtube good descriptions and titles really help. make sure to include key words people are actually searching for or that can be related to other video's

on my you tube channel over 60% of my total views come from my video's falling in the suggested category of related video's then about 38% is spread out across home pages subscriptions and other you tube features and about 2% of the total views comes from sharing my video's with you guys here on the forums.

Good to consider, as you mentioned, the warranty as really not even practical to consider on something like a daily driver truck.

yeah i bought a aftermarket radiator and air to air for my fld before i had my mack they both failed within a year. radiator i ended up just repairing charge air cooler i bought another one and sent the old one back, sent them the invoice for getting the radiator repaired never got one red cent back

then about 2 years ago i bought a aftermarket ac condenser for the mack and and it failed within 2 weeks started leaking where the mounting tab is welded to the tube end tank. bought a mack ac condenser that is still working perfectly 2 years later. sent the after market one back this time they did at least respond to my inquiry's and claimed improper installation. kinda funny how that is considering i did nothing different installing the Mack one and had no issues. so basically as far as im concerned any claimed warranty with any of the aftermarket manufactures is not worth the paper its written on.

    How come no air tools?

i dunno. lol i did use a impact on some of the bolts holding the frame into the truck. guess i must have just felt like using mostly hand tools. there are certainly lots of spots i could have used air.

I remove the hood tilt restraint cables and use a tall stand to rest the dog upon so the hood is open "over center". I then lift the radiators out with the gantry crane many times never disconnecting the a/c condenser coil.

the ac condenser is bolted to the air to air witch is then bolted to the radiator frame on this truck. so you would ether have to pull it all out with a crane or pull the radiator out of the frame with a crane. that would have been a lot of trouble on this truck. esp considering it was a pia to get the bolt holes lined up between the new radiator and the frame outside of the truck. also pretty sure with the original setup i would have to look but i dont think there is access between the air to air and the bolts facing forward between the radiator and the frame.

probably a great idea on some trucks pretty sure that wouldn't have worked on this one. ill certainly be keeping that idea in mind if i do one that it looks like it might work though.

i didn't disconnect any of the ac lines, just unbolted the condenser from the cooling pack and laid it off to the side.
