  1. I just phoned mine in today on my b42x and talked to Rose. She said the same at about 3 to 4 weeks.
  2. Hello everyone, I am a newbie and I have been addicted to Mack truck most of my life and until a few months ago, I have not had one to call my own. A few months back I purchased a b42 model out west, that I have not seen except for a few pictures. I was told today that it will be loaded the end of this week and start its journey to northern MI. I am not one to get excited but i will be happy to have it in my barn. Maybe i will sleep for a night. Although I love the diesels, this Mack has caught my attention for some reason. My friends and some family members thinks it stupid but I love these old trucks. I see there are some of you like me and think thats great. I just wanted to thank all of you for you posts, it his so interesting to read about your adventurers And to know I am not the only one. I am sure that this old B needs a lot of work and I'm not sure what I am going to do with it yet but will post information as soon as it arrives. Thanks again everyone, any info for this guppie will be appreciated.
  3. I have used chassis saver and por15 a lot and like most users say it works great. They only problem I had was that the sunlight would turn some areas gray that that was exposed to excessive sun. But works great were it was alittle rusty.
  4. I am new to BMT and apologize in advance for any screw-ups. I have purchased a B42 Mack also and am in the same situation. My intentions were to pull a couple of antique tractors around, maybe my 5th wheel travel trailer. I am one for keeping everything original but converting it seems more logical. I also have the option to purchase a Blue Bird bus with a 5.9 cummins with an Allision trans. I was thinking of setting the body of the Mack on the bus frame and shorten the axle. that would give you the air, plus power steering, but not sure I could handle that much of a project at this time. There would have to be some revamping of the dropdown radiator and cooler. I have purchased the Mack B42 onsite, unseen except for a few pictures. The tag on the engine says magnadyne. I hope take delivered to my residence in Michigan before May.
