When you quote the fuel economy of the newer scr equiped trucks, does anyone include the ad blue in that equation? Cause last time I checked, it doesn't grow on trees.
Good point Timmy

You can mitigate all these costs for DPF & SCR by purchasing extended warranty coverages. I recently sold a customer 40 2016 Mack CXU613 Double Bunk Sleepers, Mack MP8 SuperEconodyne packages. WE did a custom 60 months 650,000 miles FULL COVERAGE Engine & EATS warranty - cost per mile for this coverage is $0.012! The trucks are doing great - the fuel mileage is better than he expected and we are goin g to get an order for an additional 40 trucks for next year. In addition the Mack/Volvo recommended DPF cleaning interval has just been extended to 400,000 and the oil drain interval to 40,000 on highway trucks.
The 2010 and 2014 SCR engines from Mack & Volvo are doing a great job.
You quote the fuel mileage been better than expected I have asked this before and I will ask again encase you missed my last question last time just what is the mileage these fleets are getting and is this a documented mileage and what sort of weight terrain are these trucks running on
Or I guess another way to look at is what is
How does the mileage compare to the older fleet ?????

I can now join the ANTI VOLVO crowd. I was just informed that Volvo "has obsoleted" Cruiseliners from their data base. Meaning Mack cant look up anything by the VIN. Thanks AGAIN Volvo
WTF a holes they cant do that

What is the reasoning behind gassers sitting up so high in the front? Seems to be opposite of everything you'd want in a race car like low center of gravity and aero dynamics.
Dunno but it was a cool time to go drag racing I feel and thanks for that link back there it was good to watch and the other videos attached to the build and drive
I find it amazing these days people are shocked that they built the car drove it around the block once or twice and then loaded up and headed off when I was younger that was a normal thing to do
Good to see these fellas keeping the dream alive

Gudday Mark welcome to the dog house mate
I think you can still get all the parts you will ever need for the motor and trans fairly easily if you want to make it quicker you could change the diff ratio and it would be fine I think
providing you dont haul big loads

Yeah all depends on what you wanna do there used to be a formula to work all this out back in the late 70's you put in what weight what height how fast you wanted to travel ect and could work out what size motor gear ratio's gear box ect that you would need to obtain the best balance between economy and power
