Not sure what you are asking, most common siren that was used in the industry is a Federal "Q" of which there are different models? Some where a combination of light and siren.

Federal Q sirens came out way too late to have been installed original equipment on a Type 45

  2. Gerharts is still being pondered. A final decision has not been determined but I anticipate that any day now.

Brockway has been downgraded to a one-day event on that Saturday.

Harford Pa. (Northeastern Pa Chapter of the ATCA) has been cancelled.

  3. When I was 11, I completely rebuilt a B & S horizontal shaft engine. I wrote a letter to B & S Customer Service asking for a B & S Decal for the shroud (had to scrape off the old one to re-paint it.) I explained I was 11 and did not know who to address the letter to. I also explained that I would gladly pay for the decal if there was a cost, and also told them I was a big fan of their product.

About 3 weeks later I get home from school and there is a big package waiting for me. It contained a letter from (I think it was Frederick Stratton, CEO at the time) thanking me for my interest in B & S. The box also contained a service manual, decals, a B & S jacket and a ball cap. I wish I still had that letter.

1958 F.W.D. I use to go to Bethlehem steel to work on a cat dozer they had. That was the longest building I ever saw it was back in 1974 or 75.

You would cringe at it now.

    Google Wind Creek Casino Bethlehem.

Thank you, I'll give them a look!

I started a thread on my personal FB page for you. Got some leads already:

    1. Give John Miller at Shop One in Pennsburg Pa. a call. Tell him that that Dan Supplee said to call about the old Mack sitting out back with the pump still in it.

    2. Give Sean Desjardins at Emergency Equipment Sales and Service in Ewing NJ a call. 877-337-8885. Tell him Randy sent you. He said he may very well have something NOS sitting around.

Is there anything that can be remade at a reputable machine shop?  Flanges, shafts and such should be doable.  If there are no parts available, then I'm sure something could be fabricated.  Cast iron can be welded.  I would not throw in the towel yet.

Probably could but the machinist would need drawings for some of the assembly. And good luck with that. I just put the word out to some guys who would know where to look.

Nice-he mentioned houses.  I had an uncle that bought a Sears house.  Small  ranch, one car garage and a hip roof.  House was delivered in a box car and I remember going to rail yard with my dad in one of his  companies trucks-like a 10 or 12' rack body to pick it up. Don't remember how many trips it took.

Bethlehem Steel had planned on building 300-400 Sears Kit homes in my town, but only 61 were completed. They were marketed to workers who had just returned from fighting in WWII.

  8. Glenn, are you the one who posted on Facebook and some knucklehead suggested you go to an automotive electrical shop? If that was you, I am the one who (politely) told that guy "Are you effing insane?"

Let me do some sniffing around for you.

Well FWD- based on that PDF I guess I understand why it is a million bucks!  What is power?

    Cummins ISX15 at 600hp

We received six bid proposals, and this one was the lowest responsible bid. Highest was Seagrave at over a million and a quarter.

I have two 20lb ansuls fillled with Purple K in my garage!!!

Will it be painted to match the Dash CF?

Yes. The aerial will be a metallic gun-metal gray.

I fought to go complete polar opposite- red with black stripes.....But got out-voted by the kids.

The black and red is for our local high school sports teams- we are a big High School Football and Baseball town.
