Loch Lamond is a nice single malt,Iv drank it a few times. If your looking at Irish whiskey we all know Jameson's, Black Bush, and Powers but theres a new kid on the block...Slane Irish whiskey....nice over ice goes down real smooth.....Mead is made from honey some like it but I find it much too sweet......

I love Laphroaig and Tullamore Dew- although I don't know if Dew is considered a single malt.......

Wow, I just looked at that Pit Barrel Cooker website. Like everything else, they're much more expensiver than when I bought mine. I'm thinking they were like $299 then. But if they do have them at Lowe's or Tractor supply they'll probably be putting them on sale this time of year. Or it wouldn't be too hard to make one, with the barrel and rebar, then you could probably get grates that fit at Walmart or Amazon.

I had one just mysteriously appear......It fell out of the sky.

Register it in NH. We will not have inspections come 2-1-26. Thank the Free Staters for that!    .....Hippy

I actually am one of the rare birds that believe in mandatory vehicle safety inspections (within reason.) When I travel through states that do not have safety inspections, I cringe at some of the shit boxes that I see on the roads.

Glad you didn't just hand him a Dodge/Ford/GM Diesel pickup like so many of the brat kids around me. V6 and a 5 speed sounds like a hot rod! 4WD is for fun!

Tell him to get that transmission oil checked/changed right off. I don't remember what gearbox these have (NV3500?) but I know they don't hold like the larger 4 and 5 speeds. Hope he can get it to last until he's 18! I went through 3 before I even turned 18

He did get handed this but as you can see, it needs work which he will gladly take on!!!! And besides, it was a deal I couldn't pass up.

  5. I had just started my 24 hour shift at the Aberdeen Proving Ground (Md) Fire Department. We got the trucks, our SCBA and the equipment checked out and were in the kitchen getting breakfast when one of the Paramedics came running into the kitchen yelling "Turn on the news!" I grabbed the remote and turned on one of the Baltimore stations and we all just stood there in complete shock. Watched the second plane hit live as it happened. About 10 minutes after that we were notified that the base was locked down. Fire Chief told us to check, double check and triple check everything- make sure all air bottles were topped off, all fuel tanks were full to the necks, etc.

I lost 6 good friends that day. All guys on the job FDNY.
I have lost several good FDNY friends since as well, all due to various cancers contracted from working at "The Pile."

Spoke to my Dad that morning (who worked at Jevic headquarters in Delanco, NJ) and they sent out a Qualcomm message to any local trucks in NYC, Long Island and Yonkers to head to one of the rest areas on the NJ Tpk and await instructions. They were then told to return to Delanco. Any regional or OTR trucks heading that way were told to head to Delanco instead.

We had to come through Fogelsville, Pa. to pick up a suitcase Zina left at the motel in June when we went to Macungie. We're leaving Wednesday.

But you forgot to stop in Metropolitan Hellertown to get your oxygen sensor and air fresherners.

I have seen a few of these in action at some fire stations I have visited.  They are impressive!

There was a news story recently making the rounds in various fire service pages- a Firefighter was packing a line up in a hosebed and wasn't paying attention and stood up and.....WHANG! He was pretty seriously hurt and even got a helicopter ride to the nearest trauma shop. I think it was in Georgia somewhere?
