Yes, the WS/WL did use R-model springs, e.g. 2QK3378 (10,500lb) and 2QK3378P2 (12,000lb). But the Super-Liner II (aka. RWI), well the RWI 600 was an Ultra-Liner chassis while the RWI700 was a heavier variant of that chassis. And the MH/RWI used a new family of springs.

It's stamped right there on the front of the axle. Also, if I researched the front axle assembly number also in your picture (it appears to be 1QHA5745P2), it would tell me the axle model and show all the parts.

It's a Mack model FAW537C 12,000lb steer axle.

Apply 20wt non-detergent motor oil to the (rubber) trunnion insulators at installation.

Bob, at the EPA's direction and with their funding, Navistar attempted to reach EPA2010 (virtually Euro 6) with MEGR (massive exhaust gas recirculation.....levels of 35% to 50%). Today's engines still utilize a modest amount of EGR, but SCR to achieve emissions with Adblue.

I feel it's a great looking truck. I'm very proud of Ford's global heavy truck business. I know that Bill Ford is. He took a chance with financing the F-Max, i.e. investing in taking Ford International to the next level, and it has paid off !
