  3. The big c clamps will actually go bad. The threads will wear a little and the threads will cross. You will never get them apart. We just always keep a spare on hand. The clamp on end pumps are supposedly cheaper priced and a different company.

  4. Actually a fuel tank will explode if hit by a vehicle right. A few years back a pickup crossed the center line and there happened to be a CL mack there. He ended up swerving enough to got the fuel tank. The tank was a 90 gallon about half full, the impact made it explode. Burnt both vehicles to a crisp. Trucker got lucky and walked away....thanks to the mack steel cabs. But the fuel tank was totally inside out and melted.

  5. Navistar should not have tried to get the epa to say scr was no good. Navistar said that trucks can still run without DEF fluid in them. They can run without it, except they can only go 5 mph. They KNEW their product was shitty, trucks wouldn't even make it to the dealers from the factory without being towed in. A head mechanic of a fleet of 200 told me that for every 10 only 4 were decent at best. Needless to say they went freightliner.
