Try the Mack Museum. I got what they call a Highway Vehicle Service Manual, initial issue Oct, 1967, that has pretty good coverage for the B Models. They provide the information for free but request a donation to the museum.
I got an estimate to redo the steering wheel for in the $800 range depending on a visual inspection. I ended up using PC-7 epoxy and glazing compound after watching a utube video. The cost was about $40 and about 3 hours work. It turned out as they say "good enough for govt work". I used SEM spray paint for flexible parts along with a satin clear.

Congrats to them and hope they can do it again. Isn't Leroy Troy from Goodlettsville?

Excellent! Looking forward to pictures of the Super and to see what he does with the wrecker.
Me too. That is a great story and project for a couple of worthy trucks.

I thought my screen was distorted or out of focus.

Sweet! Keep 'em coming.

Now that is super nice.

Lookn' good. When do you think you will bring it out?

Very nice. The air cleaner and visor really set it off.

Truck really looks nice. You've come a long way in a short period of time.

Beautiful scenery at Harper Ferry. As far as "best girl in a car" I have to go with the very first one. Thanks as always for the great pix.

It was also reported today that a wrongful death suit has been filed against Hillary by two of the families of those killed in Benghazi.

That's a BIG job.

If you can't find a manifold try these folks for welding:

I've had him do several cast iron pieces for me including 1930s Cadillac exhaust manifolds. Buck (I think that is his name) did a great job that is still holding up after about 10 years. The turn around time wasn't too bad, a couple of weeks, price was reasonable considering I couldn't find replacements. Good Luck.

That is what you call work ready condition. Nice.

Did you contact Watts Mack (with your 1QHA number) and check if the 204SQ17 tie rod end repair kit is applicable to your truck, and still available?
I should have been more specific, I contacted Barry at Watt's Mack twice with all the numbers we spoke of regarding a complete tie rod end, repair parts or seal kits. He said none were available for the FA 505. Watts is always my first choice for parts as I appreciate their support and also this forum. I also appreciate all of the help and knowledge available here.

I did call Barry again with the individual tie rod end numbers from the build sheet and the number on the pin cup and still no luck, not even on the seal parts. I went to Moog technical with those same numbers and measurements and they couldn't come up with anything. I did find some used parts with hardly any wear that seem to be serviceable.

Try calling John Chalmers, Cashtown PA. I recently purchased a tie rod repair kit from him for my FA 512 axle. He may be able to help.
Thanks for the info. I had heard his name before but didn't know where he lived.

Very nice, just the right patina for an "old workhorse".

It has been awhile but as I recall you un attach the column at the dash and loosen the clamps that hold the outer column on. Then remove the frame bolts for the box and remove it and the shaft from underneath. The steering shaft doesn't come off the box without disassembly of the box.

I'm pretty sure it was medium prairie tan.
Classic Coat™ - 17063
It came out a little lighter than the color chip but not bad. Then SEM satin clear.
