I know this is odd coming from someone in Florida.
Back in the day, a little help on the fuel system was to put a couple gallons of kerosene in the fuel tank.
The reasoning was that kero kept fuel from gelling, and had a lower flashpoint to fire easier.
With the new engines, ULSD, and such, is this still a practice in the northern areas?
How good do the additives do? To what temp. are they effective?
Yes, cold for us is maybe a frost.
Its been around 10 degrees to -10 degrees here for the last week. The newest stuff I have is 2006 and we cut the fuel 50/50 with kerosene and or use Power Service 911 when needed. No problems.

More! We need more! Well by we I mean me, I need more! Pics or I'm gonna head northbound. Go pats!
We are picking away at it as time permits. Today my helper finished removing the lettering. Tuesday I got half the tank straps cut off , gettting closer to pulling the tank off for sand blasting.

Hi Nedly , I see you over to HEF over the years. I guess Im the dumb redneck here , but I have had Mack dumps with rails in that shape and we weld, patch , drill bolt , gussett and whatever it takes to keep it hauling. I had a R dump truck and one time we were dumping a way to large load of clay over a hill and the frame broke in half. We bent the truck back into shape with the excavtor plated the frame inside and out drilled the shit out of it and bolted it. Truck hauled for 5 more years until motor blew. Go buy yourself a mag drill and some plate steel and fix it up. GOod luck. doug

Very nice job! Keep up the good work. -
Question - So the Superliner has a Mack eng, Mack trans, and Mack rears , why does it not have a Gold Bulldog on the hood? Or better yet , should it?
Any photos of Macks hauling shipping containers?
