Saw this in my travels yesteday. Decided I would stop and start getting pics of some trucks to share as I enjoy looking at everyone elses Mack pics. The owner of the yard said it was a 673 but I do not know much about B model type trucks. It is a Diesel , Two stick , twin screw ,double frame , long frame on it looks original . Had a crane on it. Look for serial # on door jam but didnt see it. Guy said he'd like $5-6k for it . I would guess half that , but not familiar with there prices. doug

Yes the pit is open to the public. Exit one off of Rt. 93. If your heading North bound go left off the exit. 2.5 miles to Duck Pond Road and take a right. Go 3 miles to the pit.
WOA WOA , I thought you meant the "Waterford Maine" Pike plant when i asked if they are open to public. haha.

WOw that 980K is nice , I bet that smile lasts along time. I haul out of the Poland pit once in a while , is Waterford open to the public for materials?

Hey VInny , I gotta clean it up , forgot you were a young man. I was your age when I first fell in love with trucks. Probably in the 70's when "Smokey and the Bandit" came out was what sealed the deal. Have you seen that movie? I remember when i was young my parents asking what I wanted to be when i grew up, I always said TRUCK DRIVER. Good Luck with your U model !

Im going to keep my eyes open for one. Preferably a tri axle so I can get a big tank on it. All our septic pumping is pretty local I think I could live with the rough ride if I could find a good enough deal on one. Otherwise might just as well buy a conventional type truck.

Dont see many of those around. Nice big sleeper.

Why arent there alot more MR's being used as tractors? Is there a reason there not being used for dumps etc. Theres seems to be a ton of them around from refuse use and they sell fairly cheap . I thought I would pick one up to put my septic tank on. Any input would be appreciated. doug

Great video , they must have had a large staging area to get all the trucks loaded . Must have taken a few days to load all the trailers . Nice to see them go all toghether. I have a friend who I think had a old Mack in that line up. My friends name is Jim Humphrey , and he and his father (George) restored Mack trucks in New Gloucester , Maine. Anyone here know them. Very smart guy , glad to have him as a friend.

Quite a clean up effort going.

I think I helped pay for that. haha. I was pulled over down in Mass for a list of goodies and Coadys towed me off the highway.

Im Waiting to watch it.

Wow , I wouldve loved to get that Bmodel pumper. Im in the pumping business and my name is Doug to boot. Currently I have a L8000 pump truck but need to get changed over to Mack soon.

Thats a crock , I hate hearing that. Poland Spring Bottling is next to my house and you cant haul there tankers unless your truck is within 5 years old. Complete crock . Good Luck bud!

I am not sure 25' will be deep enough for a tractor or staight truck. My shop is 40' deep and I wish i had made it 50' deep. I would think that you would need a minimum of 30' and still be able to tilt the hood and walk around truck. My two cents. Good luck. doug
