  1. I smallerized them, I can send them full screen size if you want.

YEs I would like them full sized . I will save them for future reference of my dream truck. Thanks doug My email is doug@mcateedemo.com

  2. Thanks for the post , its nice to read about a real man once in a while. Cant wait to get my flag up at the shop. Just hauled home a 30' pole yesterday. R.I.P. Ed Freeman.

  3. Yes , there was good collection of old goodies there. Does anyone by chance recognize the name Jim & George Humphrey. My friend is Jim, his father was George, they are in New Gloucester, Maine. They restored old mack trucks for quite a few people. I remember when I was younger them test driving old chain drive macks up and down my road. Jim does some automotive work now but has lots of old Mack pictures all around his shop. Just curious if someone has one of there restored trucks. Maybe this should have been it own thread? If so move it. Thanks, doug

  4. Went to my friends to take a pic of a Bucyrus Erie 15B cable shovel to put on another forum. As i walked around the back side of Jims barn I noticed two school busses missing and that opened a veiw to a portable garage with a old truck in it. As I walked towards it I saw the :mack1: name on the grill and about dropped a load in my pants. Jim said its one of the last Macks his father had (George Humphrey). It is a 1928 Mack AB , I am told. Here are some pics , I hope they come through , they are from my camera phone. doug

  5. My favorite dozer that i wish i had back was a old Case 350 I completely repainted it , recovered seat, new stainless steel exhaust pipe, new hydraulic hoses, cutting edges , and other engine work. It was a awesome small dozer.

Heres a pic of my current dozer D3G . Sorry cant get resized .

  6. Wondering if anyone has seen any Mack R, B, MB models out there with the name Siebert Trucking Co. on it, with the colors cream body with black fenders and red letters and chassis. The Company was my fathers and grandfathers in Union City N.J. My dad sold off the trucks and trailers in 1984. Alot of them went to a truck dealer in Middletown, N.Y. I do have serial #'s for most of these trucks. If you think you have one, or if you know where one might be, please contact me. Thank you, Jay Siebert

Good luck with your search , hope you find one. doug

  7. I think the a/c unit was one of the aftermarket car units (Vintage Air?).

Overall the truck looks tasteful on the outside, the blue interior of the sleeper has gotta GO! The train is a waste, but they say it's a local truck so they don't need the sleeper anymore.

The hoodscoop was a FORD superduty unit(from back in the 70's). I've got one on my '69 F100. Kinda unique to use it, and wonder if it's for the tip turbine? Never did know what motor was in it? It's not a 673 for sure.

OOPS! I had started another thread on this , sorry did see this one. I think the truck came out alright..... except for some of the mods. The train set is a complete waste , and the color baby blue in the sleeper was weird. Still looked cool when done. Different strokes for different folks.

  8. Gentlemen:

Thank you for your comments and encouragement. I apologize for the delay in replying to your posts but I am currently on a business trip in Japan. A large typhoon is passing to the east of Tokyo so God knows when I'll get out of here. I need some help to find additional info on the Procter Co and the B-813SX. Unfortunately, when the company closed its doors and the auction had finished, all of the papers, photos, contracts etc were thrown in a dumpster. If you know of anyone with some info, I will chase down all leads. Send me an email or call 800-495-1678 24/7 and leave a message. You can also send me a fax at 716-774-8708.

    Best regards,

    John

Beautiful truck and story John! I could read history about old trucks and contractors all day long. Thanks for the story. Doug
