  4. I've been working on and around mack trucks forever, the last time I toured the Macungie plant, I was in awl of the buckets of hard to get parts, bulldogs, new exhaust parts. i was amazed. Love macungie! I just can't believe the museum isn't opened that saturday.
  5. Find a large tub or water and submerse the truck and look for where the bubbles come from. LOL! Seriously soapy spray works best for me.
  6. Yes the battery cover is off. I keep a trickle charger attached.

  9. Not sure? They just called them allison. I'm very familiar with Allis Chalmers but I haven't read anything about a over the road truck engine. I could be wrong though. Also sorry about the multible post my computer for some reason posted it three times.
  10. I've Heard of Allison Diesel engines being in over the road trucks in the 70s and how strong they were and that they were taken out of trucks and replaced by Cummins by Allison under a recall. I've never seen any photos or actually heard of any horse power figures. Has anyone out there know of this or has any photos? Thanks

  14. Is it me or isn't the Rob Marino thats in charge of the resto a little too spastic? I enjoy the show American trucker, but wished they talk more with the guys restoring the rigs like the bj and the bear episode. That jumping around and over stating the obvious on and on kills the show for me. just my thoughts
  15. I own a d7e that i wish was pony start now. Two new Caterpillar 8d batterys two new 4/0 battery cables one new solenoid engine still cranking over slowly. guess 500.00 starter next? hugh
