  1. I would not put the red in any older motor, the gaskets can't handle the red stuff, I was going to use it in my 3406 425 cat in my 96 Pete and the cat man, and engine rebuilds told me the same, not sure on what years are safe, and don't get green mixed with red it will ruin it, but the red has no effect on the green. Napa sells some heavy duty stuff that is purple and can mix with the green stuff.

  2. Leave it closed, all the dust comes in and clogs up the condensor and the heater core, like Mike said if you really want it opened make a little block to fit, I have mine unhooked on my 2000 rd, maybe I will sell it to you, sounds like I have a piece of gold on my Mack, it does work and is not Very old, I leave it unhooked cause when it opened up it looked like the lid was going to fly away, too much force on the plastic lol!

  3. I have a 2000 rd, problem is when I pull the trolley, or hit the foot pedal I have air coming out of my service line which is normal if my red, yellow, and blue knobs are in.This happens with them out, when in everything works normal. When bobtailing is the issue, I changed all the valves in the dash thinking I had a bypass, so now I'm leaning towards a tractor protection valve, or maybe a treadle valve, slacks are working, brakes are new and I have no other leaks except when pushing the pedal or trolley with the knobs out. Anyone ever encounter this problem, I hate doing those foot valves?
