Want to go but so busy at work recovering dead grass from the winter on the golf course, don't think members would be to happy with me gone for 4 days,,,,do plan to go to Mack day in October or Litz with it in the fall. Will do the Sunday shows around here for now. I also do plan to put the nice center hubs back on the rear axels, just have not had the time to go up to Berubes to get them. I now have the truck at my shop at work so when I have time can do stuff on if for the summer.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments, nice to have those of you who have done or realize what it takes to restore any truck.

No Manchester, had to get the yard all cleaned up and bark mulched for Mothers Day, then I worked Sunday at the golf course and worked on the truck in the afternoon. Where there many trucks at it with the weather being marginal. Will be at shows in the near future with it.

A year and a half later from when she was purchased and with the help of family and friends, the frame has been all painted, headboard all redone, new fenders, new step box, straight pipes removed and mufflers put on and a whole host other mechanical small things fixed and she was driven for the first time since December on the road and it felt good and drove nice. You know its done when the passenger door is all re pinstriped and your daughters names went on the truck this past week!! Some before pics and finished ones.

The frame came out very nice, the red looks so nice on truck frames. Just need to put a set of stainless fenders over rears and it will really look great!!

There's the Superliner up at Josephs, with a 400hp, 12 speed and 44 rears that is very clean and he wants I believe $27,000 for it, I called on it because it was the owned by the owners of my truck originally and was curious on it compared to what I paid for mine. and PC those are great pictures of your truck, I would never part with that truck.

An update of nearly completed work on truck over past year. I replaced straight pipes with mufflers, think they look better, sandblasted and painted frame, replaced all the lights on the headboard, new step tool box, new one piece fenders and other items. Just have to put center deck plate on and attach air lines and she is done. I am very happy with the red frame and fuel tanks just need to letter the doors and she will be all set. Attached are some before and now pics.

I just sat here for the past half hour and read every persons post on this subject and from where I sit both sides are right. It is nice to see that everyone involved is passionate about there position and feels what they feel but the truth is things do move on and things do change with time. There is nothing wrong with a logo changing or evolving and lots of major iconic logo's have evolved and changed and at the same time the older "Built Like a Mack" slogan still is herd and spoken by those who own, preserve and maintain the old trucks There is some Irony here to crucify Volvo ( and I am not defending them) for how they operate, when Mack did the same to Brockway. I am a person who loves Mack and the emotions that the Brand stir's in people when they talk about the way things where. But at the same time Volvo has kept the brand going and alive, yes the trucks have changed and are not all Mack from bumper to tail light and maybe the parts are not kept as long as they should be but every one is like that now even Paccar. My owner I work for owns 50 Mack Visions and the trucks run every day and have been reliable trucks. I do own two trucks a B-61sx and a Superliner so I do care about the old Mack, but I also have no issue with the Volvo version of Mack, all things are global today and that is a fact none of us can overlook. That is just my thought and is not meant to offend or dismiss others opinions we all have them and should be open to all. Thx to all who may read this.

We had a State Police truck team officer stop by our shop because we where wondering about pulling a trailer with the Superliner to shows. He said that so long as the truck was registered as an antique and not being used for commercial purposes that we can haul the B-Model on the trailer and be fine doing so, but if I was pulled over with anything else on the trailer then I would be ticketed, so things like antique tractors, cars and the such are fine and probably hauling your materials, but It has to be for you only. Also I have the Superliner covered by Commerce Ins. for antique coverage for 560.00/yr with a stated value.
