Just worn out the pins where oblonged where they meet the shackle to the can and adjusted to where they should be, lesson learned jack each wheel off the ground spin wheel as you adjust because each side adjusts opposite the other. The front slack adjuster was stripped out on the spline so that was junk but all are fixed now and it stops just fine already drove it down 495 in pm rush hour from Hopkinton to Wilmington and that is nothing but stop and go,,,lol

Thanks for the info, they are all fixed picked up 4 new slack adjusters for it and all is well in my world, they are adjusted right, jacked up each wheel to do the adjusting and it stops better than before, also replaced a broken self adjusting one on the right front side.

They all need work in the beginning, mine was no different after I got it. So now that it is a year and a half later I am taking it to its first show in 3wks and it has been all worth it ,,,,,not to my wife of course.

I like the old style logo a lot, but have to admit the new logo does grow on you, it is distinctive like the old one and you know who it is.

Ah one of Big Ed's tank trucks, Amesbury yard?
-
The 6 wheeler with the tag behind it is Matt Staffieri's truck his driver Danny probably posted it, they just got the truck in April and had it painted and it was was just out on the road for the first time last week, that is a heavy speced truck. He does golf course renovation work with that equipment, has done work for me.
-
They where putting together a collection of B-models and wanted it there before the Mcungie show, also my work at the golf course was not going to allow me the time out of work over fathers day weekend this year. Do plan to take Superliner down in October to Mack fest or Gerharts show one of the two.

Yes that was us you saw this morning in the rain,,,had to haul it in the rain from Hartford to Allentown, took us 2 hours to clean it, the museum people where very nice while we cleaned it up. Thank you every one for the nice comments, he is very proud of the achievement and he is happy to share the truck with others who appreciate them, he never restored it to just park it away in a shop, he hates when show season is over and it gets put away, but now every day for it is show season. I will still have the Superliner at the shows for the first time this summer, have some things to do before Lancaster to it is but almost ready to show. Again Thank you guys for the nice comments!!

Loaded up our 65 B-61sx for a year long stay at the Mack Museum today, my father is like a kid waiting for Xmas to come. His ten years of restoration with the help of his shop and family has reached what he always wanted to have his truck on display in the museum and with the help of Don and Carol at the museum the truck was placed on lone to the museum for the next year.

That Superliner of yours just looks like you don't mess with it!!,,,,,,Nothing cheap about that truck, very nice.

No when maxi's applied truck will roll freely, they have not been adjusted recently truck has been only driven 3 times since December when they where last adjusted and things where fine previous, hear no air leaks but will take all advice and look at Monday,,,,,,,,,,thx Jack
-
I am at where you described, you apply brakes and the cans hardly move slack adjusters, so some thing changed from the time I took it out to the time we parked it, do believe its a valve issue just need to figure out, thx for help.
-
Was using my 89 Superliner today and went to park it and found out the maxi's are not working. There is no are leak, brakes where working fine, but now in the cab I have the tractor, trailer maxi's button's ( for lack of better word) and my Blue maxi that has no air to it does nothing, no feel to it at all. Trailer maxi works when hooked to trailer. So I figure it's a valve but which one. Any help in shortening my elimination process a help.

We put all new Bias Ply back on ours when we restored it, would of put radials on but we where going for an all original restoration so we went that route. The tires where not cheap we got them out of a place in Ohio and had them shipped and we had them mounted local. If you drive it a lot go radials, ours only goes out maybe 10 times a year otherwise its in the shop out of the weather.

Shell Rotella is very good or I am using Kendall in mine 15w-40 both Superliner and B61 with a 673C in it.

I am laughing at the last two comments guys, truth is the keys are in it under the seat though and I did just put $400 dollars in fuel in it,,, actually drove it home last night it was so nice out, nothing wrong with a one hour drive to unwind and enjoy the ride home, the simple pleasures of life!!
