Need to re-do an R next!
My truck was a Cappello truck, liked the colors and its history so it will remain those colors.

Do you have his contact information? I'm In Ct looking for hand painted lettering, and it is a hard thing to find.
Thanks Pat
I will get you his number and you can call him. I know he used do fire trucks down there for Mack.

Look up at Josephs Equipment in Manchester, he did have an RD686?? with 58,000lb rears and believe 18,000lb front and if you want real heavy he has 2 RD800's tractors you could put a body on.

See even KW and Pete are sharing the same nose on the trucks, just different grills, pretty generic look in my opinion.

Nice work on the cross brace, I wanted to do that on mine but was told that I needed the X-brace because it anchored each post to the frame other wise both posts would still move attached to each other. I had straight pipes that I removed and added the weight of the mufflers so that may be why I was told not to do it.

Our 86 we used to have was also a 300 with the 2 sticks 6 speed and an econodine, but we never shifted from hi to low range or as asked split gears on it. Yes we could shift in reverse to a higher gear on a long back ( did that just to annoy my father)

Scott sorry mind melt, thought you asked about stoneguards I just mounted under lights, the mirrors are made by Metal Mirrors, they where on the truck, I have a new set to mount when I have time. They come in different heights, mine are just 20" with a single guide post, You have to remove your bumper guides or extend them out, I have a set I could not mount because they hit the mirrors when the hood was flipped up. Also recent picture with stoneguards under headlights.

Scott I got those from a person selling them on here last fall, they are the Boles originals for the truck they where in original sealed box and we finally had the time to mount them, I see them on ebay every so often for sale. Thanks to everyone for the nice comments, my truck is in nice company with the rest of the other sharp Superliners on here, do plan to take the truck to Mack Truckfest at the end of the month so maybe see some of you guys there.

Speaking for my trucks the B-61 that we did in hand laid gold leaf and The Superliner which was all painted only just did a couple of good coats of Mothers Cannuba wax and hand rubbed it on to protect the lettering on the doors.
