I could see myself taking out a few stop signs trying to drive one of those around here

8v53 is a rare one 7000 were built most for marine use. the military ones were turbocharged. Mine is a 8v53N out of a fire truck. Low hours starts right up with no lope or smoke issues. I will keep my eyes peeled for a heavy duty B model. Preferably one with steering assist. There is a a B53 that I had been eye ballin. I am in no hurry however have a few projects that need to be at least pushed along a little further. On another note the guy I bought this 8v53 from has a H67 with a 6-71 yet I did not get to see it. I think he mentioned possibly selling it. Thank you for your responses.

I recently bought an 8v53 that i want to repower a B model with. What is the smallest B model that has a strong enough axle to handle a 2000 lb chunk of iron? Also what is the smallest B with air brakes?

any newer pics of how it looks these days?

You can piece one together as there are alot of used 71 series engines floating around with jakes.

B64 on cl. The production list says 55-58 but ad states 1964. the only other info I found about a b64 was a list of trucks an old trucker had owned and he talked about a 1964 b64. http://boise.craigslist.org/hvo/4042095640.html

I like the ee I had been kicking around the idea of selling some toys to maybe pick that one up

the 4.6/5.4/6.8 modular engine family is a reliable platform. Parts have gotten cheaper. Since yours is a 2010 its a 3V head motor with VVT and electronic throttle body

International T444e or Cummins 6bt. 6bt likely being the simpler swap

What Model Cab Is This?
in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion

Yep A model sounds like a deal. there was a e model cab not far from me recently and they were asking 400. If it still has the seat frame inside it will likely still have the model/serial tag so you can know what truck it came from
