  2. Love for the detroits. I have a few even bought an 8v53 block and crank to eventually build a nice little 53 series V8. Here is another detroit you guys might find intesting an even more rare 12v53 (they only built 15 for prototype runs...) Also if you havent seen the first Mike Harrah video when the turbos were on the 12v71..

  11. Well I found out why the motor ran away. Issue should be resolved now. I may try to start it up again soon after installiung a heater pump possibly. I purchased a EQ mack maintenance manual and it covers the END510 top to bottom. Also the originalo sales brochure for the A51T. Also removed some paint down to the original hunter green.
  12. Actually the video ended as I was trying to shut the motor down. I plan to install a block heater pump and I will make sure the motor is toasty before start up I will tow it out to the middle of the driveway "out of the garage" maybe extend the stack up a few feet and see if it will clear. I'm happy that it at least runs. Also I will change the oil and filter before the next start. I have already started stripping the paint off using some soy gel paint remover. Also plan to re-fab the exhaust and add a muffler with dual stacks.
  13. my lungs hurt a little for a second afterward and I coughed up some soot. I will say I was expecting smoke just not that much...
  14. got the END510 running with some WD40 and a hair dryer when it was 46 degrees outside. found out the fuel shutdown on the gov didnt work so I covered the intake some and pulled fuel from her. I can not start restoring her and may add a few good things like a block heater to start it up without smoking out the entire house. The mack willl never work again just chill in my collection and maybe make some shows in the future.
  15. when Im done recovering from the smoke inhalation Ill post the video...smokiest diesel ever
  16. she is pouring white smoke it turns grey and the batteries are tapped and have to be recharged....
  17. The sales brochure for the a51 states end510. Also I just bought a manual for a mack eq with the 510 and all the pics look like my motor
  18. tried it one more time. Got 20+ psi during cranking....These batteries are killing me
  19. Well i bought a 4$ hair dryer from the goodwill to fill the intake with some nice hot air. I primed the fuel system and am now seeing fuel pressure. Oil presssure is building up. the fuel rack plunger deal that slides out the back of the injection pump is being pumped up. the problem I now have is these used weak light duty batteries that only give me a few seconds of full cranking power. she is cranking now twice the speed as yesterday. Which was is the fuel shutdown lever on the woodward? forward or to the rear. the cable for the shutdown is broke and will be replaced.
  20. Well since it was said to have ran in the last couple years. I felt like just bumping it and seeing what it does. The motor is free as can be and cranks over fast. I just need to prime the system now. I would have kept working on getting it turned over but off to work now and will likely keep going tomorrow. Heres a short clip...
  21. Now that I looked it over that is likely how this truck is setup as well. Except the line is capped off after the injection solenoid on the firewall and the hole plugged on the elbow. I'm not worried as like I said I will just feed it some hot air. All I have left to do is throw a pair of batteries in it and fill the tank with a few gallons and check the elecrical for any shorted circuits since some things are unplugged just hanging around.
