Chuck, yes I work there for the last 13 years. I am the Internet sales manager, but wear many hats like transporter, dispatch, mechanic, regular sales, etc. I use the dealer plate so I have the Future plates on the truck.
RFC - 396 done to L78 specs (375hp)
Vision - yes real SS conv.
Vinny - I have pics of a Roadrunner a woman wants to consign to us to sell. I'll try to post them soon.
2stack - of course 7.3. Best damn engine a Ford had.
That's neat. You must see some pretty cool machinery come thru the shop! Are they still on RT88? I haven't been around those parts since Pine Belt Chevy burnt down.
Do you sell at Englishtown too?
-
Very nice pair!
I just noticed the "Future Classics" tags. Do you work there? They always have a bunch of vendor spots at the Englishtown Spring and Fall swap meet/car show.

The whole rig went to Russia? Wow.
Was Uncle Sam driving it too?!?!? Very patriotic package that..

It looks like wipers were optional for the lower glass sections.

All out of likes,Ron! Great story! Al
I've got a few left. I love hearing stories like that.

I've been following this build and you have been doing an awesome job! Keep up the good work.
Can we see this truck at Macungie this year?

I drove a small tilt cab Peterbilt (260?) tractor a while back for Penske Truck Leasing. I opened the door to see the ID tag and it said "Volkswagen do Brazil".

Very nice! It looks like they came from the same litter. Good luck with them.

The yellow truck would appear be a 1957 due the the single headlight setup. I will have to consult my Crismon book to be certain but I think that was also the first year they were made. Yes, it does look like a gov't truck with the yellow paint and Civil Defense stickers stuck on it.

Awesome video footage. I'm sure that would be helpful during the restoration of the interior if they choose to keep it authentic.

Great save! I like long hood Macks.

Sweet little work truck, Rob. You take pride in your equipment and it has served you well.

Wow, Anchor Block. I haven't seen them for a while. Keep them comin' !!!
Oh, and thanks for the Almasi pics..... especially the DM-800 shots. I'm pretty certain they were Bristol-Donald bodies on them.
-
Hey Chuck I have more Almasi pics. If I remember the Cl is a tandem. It does have the fairings. I think 50 or 52 rears. Maybe it's a tri now?. That's interesting about the clay. You would think most bricks came from down south.
Cheers, Robert
Robert, yes please post more. The banks of the Raritan River were very rich with clay deposits. Fisher Brick in Sayreville was huge at the time and Valentine Brick (A.P. Green) in Woodbridge produced a lot of the fire brick used in kilns and high temperature linings.

I was waiting for someone to post up an Almasi shot. They were neighbors of ours when I lived in Woodbridge in the early 70's and they had an impressive fleet of DM's back then. My grandfather worked the "clay banks" that now reside under the Woodbridge Center Mall and Almasi hauled a lot of that clay to Valentine Brick.
That shot of the CL is great. If I'm not mistaken, that was the one that had the full side fairing with the third lift axle tucked in there. They always had a spotless fleet. Pic is taken from there website.
As a side note, A good friend of mine Billy Johnson (retired Metuchen cop) drove their Superliner lowboy for a few years.

That V12 Brockway sat for the longest time at their yard in Carteret, NJ (Exit 12).

Excellent shots RFC, Keep them coming. I really like the Scott Baker R-700. It's the first I've seen it since it was repainted. If I remember correctly, he told me it was an ex-Barclay unit.
-
Excellent vintage shot Mark. Although taken in Jersey it looks to be old style New York orange plates. Could be a Staten Island truck. And yes, I was there back then.

I believe you got it....... I don't see a DOT side marker light on the front fender.

Yes, it's the DeRoma FKSW. I thought I had a better pic of it from the open house event. Gary Mahan is a very generous host and he treats the members of the ATHS Metro Jersey Chapter very well. It's an event I always look forward to.
