I was there.
Ditto. That Woodland Mack was from my old neighborhood. He currently runs an R600 single-axle with a tri-axle dump every day up and down RT130.

Remember Chuck 287 didn't go all the way up. You had to get off in Montville. That was a pain in the ass for us having to go to Wayne and cut over. We used to do a lot of work in Mountain Lakes and out by Culver Lake in Sussex County. Where is Columbus exactly? It is nice up here but I have to live just over the border I can't afford Bergen County.
I remember when Boonton / Montville was the end of the line for RT287. I'm just off of NJTP Exit 7. A stone's throw from Fort Dix. Lot's of farmland but not quite a "piney" either.

Rob, you're way up there! When I ran for Penske, the furthest I was up that way was Oakland area. Many times to Parsippany and Pine Brook too. Pretty part of the state up that way...... a lot different than my neck of the woods.

How do you get to see his collection Chuck?
Just by being a member of the Metro Jersey Chapter of the ATHS. Gary is a member and he is gracious enough to hold an open house at his facility every year just for club members. Years back when Gary still owned the Millington Quarry (now Tilcon) we would hop on the back of an old chain-drive AC stakebed and get a tour of the quarry and the "pine forest boneyard".
I have a bunch more pics on my old computer that I've been trying to transfer. Good times.
One more......D.W. Ford B-87. And yes, it is stunning in person!

I'm an information freak and I love to see this stuff. It would truly be a shame if you could not post any more of your brochure collection. The scans have been great quality and I looked forward to seeing new brochures posted.

Great thread! I love the shot of the LT with the short dump trailer from the previous page.
How is the name pronounced......is it "selly" or chelly"? Just curious.

I've heard of this monster but have never seen pics of it.
Those are definately older shots because it shows their old location on the door. They are in Branchburg now just off of RT22.

Thanks for posting those. It looks that user is adding more material to his site. The AMT Model truck section is stunning to say the least.

Wow, nice little pup! Marlboro was the first big truck show I attended. I drove 6 hours one way in my 1986 Buick Grand National. What a trip.

I met him at the Diesel Drags a few years back when he had the IH. He and the truck were both a class act. I don't recall his name but he was from Braddock, NJ down near Hammonton. He was dressed in white shirt and tie with pressed trousers and he had a plaque on the side of the truck proclaiming his prestigious award. His son had an equally nice long-wheelbase daycab Pete.
