  2. Ok the Mack pic is not uploading at all but everything else will! ????
  3. Vinnie Macks with the ol'300 plus came with hood scoops. It was the pre 350's.
  4. Love R's and definetly love my U's but always a sucker for a Superliner anyday! Nice pics!
  5. Thanks! I don't think he'll ever get rid of it! Although it has 3 feet of snow on it now. I'll get some snow pics tomorrow!
  6.     The R you have seen is the sister to our truck. Thats Joey Naples. We sold him that truck. He's a good friend of ours and that R is now off the road and my boss might buy it back. It needs rails (frame) bad. Joey now has a Pete that he's running. P.S. the Superliner is one I saw while sitting at the burn plant in Concord NH. Belongs to a crane company. Love it!
  7. It was originaly Black in 88. Then he painted it light maroon and black. Now its wearing our current company colors black cherry with gold leaf lettering. P.S. It's now sporting only a single stack. The other one rotted.
  8. Thanks! I'm always a sucker for old Macks 60's thru mid 90's! We have a 2006 Granite but I can't stand that truck. Its a load of ******! Give me that old 88 and I'm happy!
  9. Look close! This is for you Vinnie! The truck I'm trying to get. I took a drive-by pic.
  10. This truck was bought new in 1988 as a tractor by my boss and has been rebuilt at least twice once in 1998 (when I drove it) and in 2002 or 03 to a roll-off. I drive it once in awhile and I still love the old girl. It has 175k over a MILLION miles on it. He will never sell it! Enjoy!
  11. Nashua Corp out-sourced the trucking side in the mid/late 90's. The peak of the great trucking era was 60's-70's and 80's at that company.
  12. I found one that I like but funds are the issue. I'm keeping my eye on it though!
  13. I'm looking for anyone out there who might have pictures of late 70's early 80's Nashua Corperation Macks. My father drove for them for close to 20 years (circa 1969-1988). All pictures I had have been lost due to moving and divorce etc... I want so bad to restore a U685 in Nashua Corp color and specs in Honor of my Dad. Thanks for your time Derek,
  14. I know the Edgecomb here in Nashua NH is now called Macsteel. They took over Edgecomb and now run tri-color blue Freightshakers. I do remember the old blue Macks.
  15. WOW! Well the Edgecomb steel trucks here in New Hampshire where just a dark blue as far as I can remember. Edgecomb steel is now Macsteel (or something like that). Sorry I couldn't be more help. I think it was a standard Mack dark blue. Derek,
  16. I do know if it was a twin screw I'd want it! Nice truck though!
  17. Thanks for the ideas guys! I haven't got the truck yet. I'm working on aquireing one. Hopefully soon!
  18. Just wondering if anyone had knowledge of the factory options list for a U685 from 1979 throgh 1981? Looking to restore one and my memory fails me at this time. Thanks! Derek,
  19. Blond hair, brown hair, red hair no hair they're all sisters! LMAO!!!! Nice U Vinny. Everyone is a little offset they just don't know it yet!
  20. WOW! I'm as dirty mouthed as they come! Hell I'm a trucker! But, Dial it back a bit!
  21. The truck never talks back unless you want it too and you can always rebuild your truck when it breaks and when you park it it NEVER EVER wonders where you've been! :-)
